However I do have one major concern - the set is called Retro, however you decided to use the new Cherry Logo for the enter novelties in the Extension Kit. Any chance you could reconsider and use the OG logo to stay true to the theme?

Will be watching to see where this going, good work so far.

I'm not sure if Cherry allows you to use their old logo, but yeah I would love this as well

This is a great looking project. Thanks for adding UK-ISO and numpad subs (too many people can't grasp with the idea that numpads serve to do more than just input numbers).

Feedback:
 - Consider changing F13 key to mod colour.
 - Consider seeing if you can use OG cherry logo.
 - Would like to see AltGr, whether in base or in the extension kit.
 - I not convinced by the deskmat. Sure the colours fit, but it just comes across to me as branding for you without providing any depth of design outside of that. If you want a deskmat with your logo on it for yourself, sure get one, otherwise it doesn't offer any value to this project. IMO go without a deskmat, or do something related to the ruinic legends.
 - The extension kit infographic/renders gives the impression that the relegandables are sculpted with them being assigned multiple rows. I understand most people have the knowledge that GMK can only produce them in R1, but it's probably best to clearly label tham as R1 to avoid confusion for those who aren't in the know.

I enjoyed the idea and colorway. Would you be willing to offer only R1 relegendables? I think most keyboards would benefit from R1 for the F-Row.

Also, there is an identity crisis in your renders. I think the TGR board you rendered has another name ;)

F13 has been changed.
I'm definitely going to ask GMK if I can use the old logo.
As for the deskmat, I made it one day for myself and when I showed some people, everyone loved it and wanted one too, if no one on GH likes it I'll remove it and happily make a new one.
I'll make the text underneath the extension kit render larger for everyone to see.

CHANGES

I tried fixing compression issues.

I've updated the base kit render will be updating extension soon, spacebars is the only kit goof for now.
F13 Alpha --> Mod Colour
One 1.5u Pipe key Mod --> Alpha Colour

Please go and do the IC form if you dislike the deskmat. I may add the banner BG as a deskmat if people are interested.

Renders look awesome but kind of different from the real stock colors since I found that the core color of this set is basically 9009 with the use of U9, L9 and CR.

The fading effect applied is a bit too much?

The change of green from 3B to 3A and the addition of sub legends is welcome though.

I've had many people ask me to make DB Shot subs instead however I don't think I will. I'm a huge fan of the green and UV Printing has improved a lot. Look at GMK Griseann, their Printing came out very well and I'm optimistic for this set.

The ingwaz rune is genereally interpreted as the "ng" sound (as in in sing)... I'm not quite sure how that ended up on Q for which one usually uses the kaunan rune.

I followed Skok's layout for consistency's sake but I was aware of this, when I was researching a found that it's been theorised that ingwaz, a rune of unknown origins, was adopted from Q however there is some debate over that.

Nice, I like the green sublegends on the numpad and the dedication to the retro beige.
However if you're going true retro, I feel like you should have the Windows logo and Menu icon instead of the Super and Fn key, but that's probably not possible.

The extension kit is eye-catching with the relegendables, windowed keys and the BAE, but who the hell has a board that uses that BAE key? (sorry I have limited knowledge of the vintage boards).

Nice, I like the green sublegends on the numpad and the dedication to the retro beige.
However if you're going true retro, I feel like you should have the Windows logo and Menu icon instead of the Super and Fn key, but that's probably not possible.

The extension kit is eye-catching with the relegendables, windowed keys and the BAE, but who the hell has a board that uses that BAE key? (sorry I have limited knowledge of the vintage boards).


I believe it was for vintage boards like model f etc

Any board that supports ISO supports BAE. You're in luck!

I've added accent 6.25u and 7.00 bars to the spacebar kit. I personally would not use them but they have been heavily requested and therefore I decided to add them.



I've also added a NorDe kit which isn't huge but supports a good amount of European layouts.



Please note that there should be an extra Z and Y without runes in case you would like to use this kit but not with this set, this way it fits most other beige sets. I am working on rerendering it now.

Counter counter argument:

There might be people interested in the NorDE kit (used with OG keycaps) that are not interested in the base, meaning you can piggyback the ISO-keys on the NorDE kit, saving base-kit customers some money. NorDE customers wouldn't have to pay more for their kits than they had to before (considering they would have bought basekit and NorDE), right? Because we're not adding a kit, and we're not adding keys.

Usually the international kits have the worst sales numbers, so why not make the NorDE kit better as a standalone option to boost sales? It does have the colors of other sets that lack these specific keys, making it an attractive option for people with OG sets on their hands.

You can use any board that supports the ISO enter with the BAE

I'd like to make sure, are the R1 keys in the extension pack the ones with removable lids so you can put a sticker or paper for the key design you want? If so, that's exactly what I've been looking for. To hard to remember the macrokeys I setup without any kinda signifier.

Also while I'm at it, whether they are or aren't, what are those keys called??

But then this ... I have no experience with new UV printing but I guess I have to do research. True tripleshot for sublegends would be a killer though.
personally, i'd prefer non uv printed alphas!

Can't join a set with pad printing, especially on the alphas.

I've had many people ask me to make DB Shot subs instead however I don't think I will. I'm a huge fan of the green and UV Printing has improved a lot. Look at GMK Griseann, their Printing came out very well and I'm optimistic for this set.

I just want to make sure, 'cause the legends look a little gray-ish in some of the renders.

With CR, I could probably interchange some of the accents with my 9009 set, which increases the value of this set to me.

Any news regarding this set? I assume that JTK was also hypothesized as a manufacturer as well? TBH the main reason I'm into this set is the Bigass Enter keys.

Some people want doubleshot abs beige instead of pbt, I feel that the greens wouldn't be as vibrant due to the material especially on the shenpo caps but the keycaps could work with caveats. I feel it could definitely work with other companies that work with abs like SP and Keykobo maybe  (The colours would probably work but I don't know if they have moulds for BAE as an example, also Wish I bought hineybeige at gb tbh)

Shame that this project couldn't work out, because mint mods and they pretty great kitting really showed the potential of a great little project, especially including BAE which is so cool even though I would never use it XD, what a shame.
