Kurplop, your current set of beliefs are a half step in the right direction, but they are still inaccurate.

You are not far from the truth kurplop, but you're not there yet. Sugar/fats/fried chicken/cookies, they are involved but not in the way you currently understand them.

Moving forward, Tp4 highly recommend Kurplop research the elements further.  Nutritionfacts.org , it's got pretty much every subject on this covered, and all research is cited.  Go in with Disbelief, check the names on the papers, see if they're funded by Big-Broccoli.

You are not far from the truth kurplop

I think that you've done a great job improving your health.

This reluctant but begrudging love fest between you 2 is amusing.
We have elected an ungovernable collection of snake-handlers, Bible-bangers, ignorami, bagmen and outright frauds, a collection so ungovernable that it insists the nation be ungovernable, too. We have elected a national legislature who has been made a piteous spectacle in the eyes of the country and doesn’t seem to mind that at all. We have elected a national legislature in which the true power resides in a cabal of vandals, a nihilistic brigade that believes that its opposition to a bill directing millions of customers to the nation’s insurance companies is the equivalent of standing up to the Nazis in 1938. This is what they came to Washington to do — to break the government of the United States. It doesn’t matter any more whether they’re doing it out of pure crackpot ideology, or at the behest of the various sugar daddies that back their campaigns, or at the instigation of their party’s mouthbreathing base. We have elected people to govern us who do not believe in government. We have elected a national legislature that looks into the mirror and sees itself already cast in marble. We are now seeing the country reeling and jabbering from the effects of the prion disease, but it was during the time of Reagan that the country ate the monkey brains.

You’re certainly welcome too join in, Fohat. No ménage a trois or anything. Just a few friends whose appreciation for one another has blossomed through the years of fun, friction, and bantering.

like tp4 says,  10 -20 years,  that's all we got left,   you guys either eat veggies from now on, or we all die together in the famine.

you should be scared

fury road's a cool movie, but like everyone else, we're highly addicted to water and very susceptible to r4d1a7ion .

it only takes ~4 feet of sea level rise to flood half of florida. Antarctic Nasa scientists who map the glaciers, are tracking ice pieces the size of Germany (kilometers THICK) which are apparently on the verge of breaking off and melting,   and these are SMALL pieces relative to the whole.

Holy Mackerel !

I hadn't been paying attention, and our European friends seem to have not been commenting ....

Yes, we seem to be getting the heat that you guys are lacking atm Oo .

At the moment, it's 11 C here - normally Jan is when we start getting snow. In Spain they're lying on the beach now, apparently.

There are occasional bright spots on the horizon. This looks like one to me:

https://www.euronews.com/green/2022/08/29/battery-breakthrough-scientists-invent-cheap-aluminium-sulphur-alternative-to-lithium-ion-
Honestly, even just the fact that those can't burn is a massive win IMO. I ****ing hate Li-ion batteries, it's not fun when you get one catching fire on you, trust me.

"A group of GOP Wyoming state lawmakers want to end electric vehicle sales there by 2035, saying the move will help safeguard the oil and gas industries."
They do understand that trying to replace these industries is the whole point of this exercise, right?  :))

Good post,  but those tallies still undercount the biomass of ANIMAL FEED, which is 70% of the grains we grow.

the impact also ignores deforestation and top soil damage, which (would've) naturally sequestered alot of carbon.
