it's mostly for my kids' school functions/concerts that i really can't get up close to the stage
although i have to admit, hoisting up a massive white lens is a bit embarrassing  :-[
i still prefer the 55 f 1.8 for portraits, but use this when i need the range

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I am loving the feel of the switches.
I don't know if the mix in stabilizers is a good or bad thing. Also, the spacebar is slightly warped.

Interesting remark coming from you Ivan. Coming originally from the ALPS board side, I moved into Cherry because of the customization alternatives ALPS does not have, ...yet. I hope the market for it develops into more main stream. Green ALPS are terrific for typing BTW, and white milky are good for gaming.

True some customization is not as easy or even at all possible in some things, but I have had curiosity about Alps and some others like Space Invaders but have always been put off by some of those gotchas with layouts and form factors that I just can't deal.
At least there are some nice doubleshots available for Alps, like on some of those old NEXT boards for example, though always the issue of not getting a full set to put on something else due to 'weird' keys.

Ironically, when it comes to alps double shots are more rare than dye subs. lol But at least they're not hyped or in demand like cherry stuff so you can get them for fairly cheap if you know what to look for. I've collected a few different sets over the years so I can mix & match to cover any layout I use. Sad part is I have no board to put these on.

Definitely not a good thing.  This means that only the alphas from SP and the spacebar from Matias will fit.  The only option for mods is to see if someone makes some true alps mount or scrounge some from an AT101.

Great to see the board in the wild though.  How is the feel?
wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

What a scrub ass board. Get that out of here. Heck, I'll help you get rid of it. Send it to me. I'll throw it away for you. Ew. Absolutely disgusting keyboard.
