That looks like a particularly tricky ortho to fall in love with. There may be more approachable layouts if you ever want to try again .

Do you have pictures of the wiring? I'd be very curious if you picked up and construction tips or tricks along the way to keep things neat and tidy.

Several pics of the wiring are in this gallery, and two more are attached here.  There is a general trend that the matrixes get cleaner over time, and I learned after the first few that you don't have to wire the MCU to the end of the rows and columns, which helped a lot with sheer bulk, but I generally don't fixate on making Joe Scotto-like artpieces out of my wiring, nor am I sure it would go well if I tried.

As for orthos, I was having better luck with the little planck derivative, and I can absolutely appreciate the appeal, but ultimately I realized I like making keyboards more than I like typing practice.     I do think my attempt would have been better as something a little more standard with column stagger and angled thumb cluster, but those weren't my pain points; I'm just lazy.

We hear you on the only having a single vendor and no regional ones, but there were a handful of reasons we decided to go with Drop. For one, their efforts with Hundred Acres and covering so much out of pocket - they came in and really have done a lot to save that project, and have been very good to work with. Second, this is an ambitious set - R0 to R5, a ton of UV print, a ton of custom doubleshot sublegends, a fairly large base kit - and they were very supportive of that ambition and did a lot to help us make it a reality, even with the group buy market being a lot more uncertain these days. There's certainly other vendors that could also have been fantastic to work with, but Beesley and I have developed a good relationship with Drop over the past few months and felt like they were the right choice on the whole.

i'm from spain currently in germany and spent nearly 20k€ on their site at this point, complaining that DROP sucks for EU is an ultra stupid brain dead take, buying from them costs the SAME if not CHEAPER than buying on EU, with the added bonus that with DROP you're dealing with CORSAIR INC and their unparalleled customer friendly warranty policy, it's impossible for you to get ****ed by DROP, unlike Oblotzky or whatever who can disappear or "die" any minute

even if buying from DROP would require me forking another 10€ or 20€ I would be fine with that because of their warranty alone, just return and get a full refund no questions asked (which I did in the past with their BMR speaker). if you think a 10€ is too much of a premium to pay for the designers then i'm sorry you're just broke and shouldn't even be here looking at disposable income MK products

this idea of selling MK sets on 30 different sites is the most stupid crap I've ever seen in this hobby, and it has to die. and I'm glad it is dying. I wonder how these designers and suppliers working with 10 or 20 vendors even get paid, do they sign 20 contracts? it's impossible to coordinate financials and logistics like that. no wonder why most these EU/US "vendors" are in fact defunct at this point or outright scammers, that exit scam list is HUGE at this point. Agreed also the "`~" and "\|" keys should be defaulted the same color as the modifiers, not the alphas on standard kitting.

On regular ansi keyboards I don't like mod pipe and tilde, looks weird to me, especially on something like a tkl. Though the layouts that I normally use (tsangan/hhkb stuff like that) I do like the `~ key to be the mod colour, while the |\ key is alpha colour, just feels more right.
