[Group Buy] Sanctuary Keyset
« on: Wed, 18 July 2012, 22:51:02 »
As we near the prototypes arriving into our hands, we're going to kick it off by collecting orders.

All you need to do is fill in the following form:

https://docs.google.com/a/keyboardstory.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dDEtV1Jyb01HLVV6SUlIMUd4aHVDSHc6MQ#gid=0

*You may see that we don't have prices on the shipping options yet. We'll be able to give estimates after we receive the prototype and see how much it'll cost to ship with each option.

A list of all the people who ordered can be found here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsW6UMWMgpBFdEsxeWlIM3J0N002TkZEYVNMaTRKZHc
(Just note that it's manually updated to omit personal information).

Incase you forgot what this keyset looked like here are all the images from before:

Base Kit

Number Pad

ISO Kit

Gamer Kit

*zzz, I just copied whatever was in the DT thread.

It's definitely a unique key-set.  A lot of effort seems to be in defining a truly unique design amongst us hardcore keycap collectors.

My Filco's are begging for these beauties.

Are they double shot and cherry height? I am interested in the extra num row. Is it possible for me to only order these 11 key caps? I don't see an option for the extra num row only in the provided form...

They are doubleshot and are slightly higher than the Cherry's profiles. There is no option for just the number row, you have to get the whole base kit to get it.

I'm afraid this set might have taken too long to get into existence. A lot of the initial Diablo hype has died down, so a lot of need/want has dissipated with that.
I would love to be proven wrong though.

The only problem is Geek Hack is not back to where it was before.  The numbers before geek hack got hacked were very high compared to the numbers now.

You've got to know that the interest check from Geek Hack exceeded 200 users.  That's a lot!

Do we have any way to verify if / how we placed an order?  I remember ordering a set (Probably a Set + Numpad + Gamer) but I am not sure if I did it with my info from  GH or DT - thanks!

That's really a let down. The one thing which was a dealbreaker about the Rag set was the lack of contrast between the black keys and the red legends. I hope you guys will switch to a brighter red  from the prototype, but if not I might have to reconsider.

The red keys look good though.

We're planning to do more sampling.  We will probably change it to a brighter color.

Pictures might be deceiving since it's hard to capture some colors with certain cameras.  I almost think the red esc key isn't the right red for this, and the legends need to 'pop' more with a different red than Rag set.  The legends, however, look AWESOME.

Pictures don't accurately depect color unless everything is calibrated 100% correctly. I havent seen my set first hand yet, but if its really poor we may choose other colors.
