In for tactile for sure! Green colored things need more representation in the hobby imo. GL!

Agree, definitely love this colorway

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of answers !

Sadly we can't have nylon housings for the T1 switches, I was wondering if it was a deal breaker for you, or if it's still okay for you to have transparent housings ? feel free to share your thoughts ! I'm waiting for your feedback !

I think I would still consider the tactile version of the Sonic switches if the transparent housings are smoother than the nylon housings would be

Based on color matching issues with the Linjar switches, it might be a good idea to set out how close of colors you are willing to accept without having to send the stems (I guess that would be it since you must do transparent housings now?) back to production due to color differences. Considering the set you're trying to match hasn't been produced yet, I'm curious to see how close the stems and your legends end up being. Seems to me you're trying to hit a moving target, but good luck with it.

Transparent as in crystal clear transparent or as in smoky green transparent? Colored could be fine, straight up clear housings just with different colored stems seems kinda meh.

Will the linear version just be recolored Gateron linears, then?

I might consider staying in the linear buy if they are milky tops. I'll certainly get fewer of both, though.

I'd be in for transparent T1's with the green stems, assuming timeline isn't too far out.

That's rather sad. I wouldn't be interested in a clear housing myself.

Interested in the tactile variant. Less so if the housings were clear, but probably still.

just got some t1 switches from the recent restock. i love them coming from v1 zealios. i don't have any experience on pandas so i won't say anything there. the night housing looks pretty cool and i think it'd be close to what these switches would look like per the color scheme suggested.

to put this forward, it would be awesome if we could see if people are interested in getting this switch at a lighter weight. i'd love a 65g weighting since the 67g is slightly heavier than i am used to.

still interested in getting both the linear and tactile versions. :)

FYI - I spoke with Wei and the housings can, in fact, be nylon. The original comments about only being available in translucent housings was a mis-understanding.

Is this still happening? Wondering if I should hold out for this buy or pick up other switches for an upcoming build.

Where did you hear this? Biip seems pretty confident in having the Koala switches continue on.

From the looks of it it seems like Koalas are going forward.... but that can be for different factors such as:

1. they are different composite i.e. not clear
2. they have a different spring

So either the leaf or the stem (maybe both) has been modified or the stem to prevent return issues that t1 and holy pandas have had with lighter springs.

Let's wait until the dust settles to get a clear view of what is happening.

As I understand it, the T1 switches were cancelled because the factory producing them was the same factory that produced the fake Tealios and KBDFans broke ties with them.  On the other hand, it seems as though Zeal has stopped the sale of epbt clear stabilizers as well, so maybe he got the T1 switches killed due to their similarity with Zealios?  Who really knows.  I don't really see why either the T1 or Koalas would have to be cancelled, since they're not fake versions of any switch.  Also, if the T1s are cancelled because of cutting ties with the factory, why doesn't this affect the Koalas?  I believe people have gotten refunds for T1 switches, but the Koala GB goes on?  Confusing drama.

The T1s that were ordered before all this went down are actually going to be fulfilled, I just don't believe they will be making any more with this factory.

I've also seen that Gateron isn't doing custom color switches anymore, any word on this?

Haven't bothered Wei since all of this came out, but would be skeptical about the T1 switches at the moment. I wasn't working with Gateron, so can't speak to what they are / are not willing to do for the linears.

Is this switch release still a thing? Just got into the keyboard market and potentially picked up a set of GMK Wavez.

Just submitted the IC Google web form. Still looks like a clean, mean, green switch idea.
