How can something go into production before the GB starts. That is a lot to bankroll.

I haven't ordered or paid for anything yet. I don't know why they have listed that but I'm not gonna argue with them. :)

When are you going to post the GB?

I'm working on the order form this weekend and will be posting it early next week.

Any word on how the new SA pricing will come into effect with this set?

Edit: I should've looked at the previous page.

The one big question still up in the air is the European set(s). I haven't received much feedback good or bad about the split. If I don't hear anything I will end up leaving the European set as one big set so that everyone can pool together to reach MOQ.

I think that would be the best idea. The 1976 GB only made 17 scandinavian sets in the end, so it would be great if we could team up with the rest of europe this time :)

OK, I'm entering the home stretch here. This is the order form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/10fPJhRkgmdTV2w-PSt5q_kYHMVW1f0240j6TH0HsL_A/viewform

Please hit that tonight so I can make sure everything works the way I hope. I have a live feed into a google sheet and I'm working on figuring out how to expose the graph to everyone so you can follow the buy's progress. For now I just need some data coming in so I can make sure it all works.

Along those same lines, let me know if anything about the order form confuses you or can be improved.

Tomorrow morning I will submit the group buy thread for approval. At that time I will be closing the form to submissions until after the group buy page is live. Any entries submitted before that point will be wiped, so feel free to submit anything you feel like before that point. More data is better. :)

OK, here's the realtime graph of sales:

I hope that remains legible as sales are added.

This looks like a fun graph. Still don't quite get it though.

Each line represents a particular kit. The colors represent purchases at particular levels. That way you can see both how many overall orders there are, and whether each level has been hit. Determining whether a particular MOQ has been met is a little tricky, but possible. The other graph types made figuring that even harder.

I'm always up for changing that if anyone has better suggestions!

Oooh, I think I got it now. As soon as I see it update it'll be a little clearer, but it makes sense.

First group buy here so this is probably a really dumb question,  but when does the payment actually process? If I fill order now will the payment be deducted next working day or when the group buy ends?

If you fill anything out now you're just helping me test. The buy starts after the group buy thread is posted over in the group buy section.

Blue and yellow with the TKL base set seems like the way to go vs blue and white.  Maybe add the red (and white?) to the Amity Island pack.

From what I've seen, group buys charge payment either on the last day of the buy or a few days after.

Here's some insight into why it's so tricky. There's only a couple keys that the French AZERTY layout shares with the rest, so I'm not showing that part of the board right now. Here's what I've been staring at for 45 minutes:

Show Image

The keys on the right hand side of DE and Pan Nordic are the ones that are shared with DE. This leaves only one obvious possibility I can see; combine DE, ES, and Pan Nordic into one kit, and then have separate kits for UK and FR that will live or die on their own. That would end up looking like this:

Show Image

I think that would bring the cost of the Pan European kit down to around $30 at 25 MOQ, the UK kit to around $10, and the FR kit around $25. These aren't official prices, I want to figure out if this is the right way to go before bugging Melissa for more quotes.

Add Ö and Ä to the pan nordic please! That would allow for the Swe/ Fin layout as well :)

I've just received the updated invoice from SP. It will be paid today and our order secured! :)

I've also been contacted by my credit card processor. They just want to make sure everything is on the up and up. If you are contacted by Chase Paymentech about your order please be honest with them. It's just routine investigation while they make sure everything is on the level.

On that note I've adjusted your invoices slightly to remove the separate CC/Paypal fees. If you look at your payment page you will find your order breakdown looks just a little different and will be a few cents higher than what you actually paid. This is ok! I will not be asking for any other money from you. If your receipt shows that you've overpaid you should see the refund hit your account by the end of the week. I have to issue those by hand and have been working through that list a little each day.

Hi skully, this is the IC thread, maybe post on the update to the GB thread would be more appropriate?
