[IC] Historia Artisan Box | GB will start on 26 May!
« on: Sun, 21 March 2021, 03:08:23 »
Hello everyone!

Yasin Tahir here, some of you maybe know me as a YAS62 GB runner, some as a Y-CP Custom Sleeve GB Runner, and some not know me. Today I want to introduce you to my newest project, it's Artisan Box and I called it "Historia". I believe some of you who collect artisans had some history behind artisans you own. This box has a badge that attached using magnets and can act as feet so you can display it flat or angled, and will come with a sleeve to protect it during travel.

Details :
- Aluminium 6061 Material
- Sandblasting Finish
- Multicolors Anodize
- Stainless Steel Badge
- Acrylic cover lid

Estimated price max $150 not include shipping (it's not final also all production is in Indonesia so the price will be higher rather than I make it in China but I want full control on QC so I choose to make it here.)

I already made some prototypes for this artisan box and I quite happy with the result I get, just need some minor change and I made this IC to gather some visions from you to make this box perfect for everyone.

What needs to change on this recent proto? :
1. Add feet bump on
2. Fix The hole for the feet since it's too loose for now and make the box not stable enough when use badge as a feet
3. Maximum capacity of the artisans?

What do I need from this IC? :
1. Colors options for the box
2. Maximum capacity for the box
3. Your feedback/suggestions

Here are some photos I take from the recent prototypes

If you interested in this Artisan Box please kindly fill this Form

I will update this project in this thread and my Discord Server

very nice, maybe a bit more blueish hue would look nice, like a teal color

This is pretty cool! But $150 is too high for me personally if it can hold only 25 artisans. If there were more slots, maybe 50 or higher, I’d consider it more. But I really like your design!

Yes $150 is not for 5x5 size currently, I'm thinking 7x7 for the next proto but if the form says it stays for 5x5 the price will be reduced.

TBH, that price with that level of anodization isn't that expensive.

I'm still trying to find that material here.

Made a new pattern for the anodize (marble splatter) I have a plan to do it with 5 colorway for this GB.

Also, I will start prototyping on a 7x7 box size next week.
So far 75% on the form choose to stay at 5x5 size so the GB will have 2 size options 5x5 and 7x7.

Really digging this, especially the badge as an angled stand and the ano! Just curious, is there a mechanism or something that will keep the lid attached? I could always put a few rubber bands around it to keep it together for transport to kb meetups n such so its not a big deal. Also Glass is naturally UV and scratch resistant though it might complicate the shipping, just a thought!
Collection: LZ GHv2, Esheu Fallacy, Moesode Bliss, Daji Ocho Cuatro, Ace Saturn60, Bolsa Midway60, MLI NUM1, MLI VISION, PW ROTR

It will come with a custom sleeve so the lid will not fall when you bring it to the meetup. The design of the sleeve might be customizable you can see the sample here.
For the lid material, it's kinda hard to find good material at a reasonable price here, if I stay to use acrylic I will share the file for the lid so you can cut by yourself use any material you want.

50 each size, but I will try to make them even if they don't meet the MOQ and put them on the in-stock items instead.
