Hey guys! Two months ago this idea came up in my head. I like the Cherry G80-3000s design and looking for a custom one, and some Cherry fans in China cut off the numpad and made it a 87% custom keyboard named J80, but I just missed that. during the long waiting before the round two group buy of J80, I think I should try making a keyboard of my own. Using a GH60 compatible PCB so I don't have dealing with those electronic works, and I can experience difference layouts and switches, GH60 compatible PCBs are very easy to get one.
Since this is my first time making a keyboard, I made a 3D printing prototype before CNC works, the size is just right for me. then I ordered two CNC prototypes, here they are!

Glad to see so many friends likes this degisn! here is some reply to everyone's opinion
Center Mount USB: Yes! the wide top bezel of the cherry's original design is the most interesting part of their keyboards, it's almost a icon of cherry keyboards I think. Due to this wide top bezel, it will make it too deep to get the original pcb's usb port directly. so I extended the original usb port to the center by using a short usb cable with a 90 degree usb plug, the other end is a small screw mounted pcb with a mini usb port on it, the extend usb cable is soldered on the small pcb. And for those who want to make it a bluetooth keyboard, you can find some space to place the bluetooth module and batteries.
WKL blocker: Yes! this is already put in my plan. it will be a 1u blocker for layouts like this:
Weights, Engravings or LEDs: I'm going to make this a purely keyboard case. So, There is NO Weights, Engravings or LEDs
Material: Anodized aluminium for sure, in silver, gray and black? or more colors? Plastic option is a great! but as I known even by small scale manufacture, it needs at leat 500 units, but anyway, plastic is always under my consideration.
