SA Retro is a (fabulous) tribute set for the C-64 keyboard and its spherical keycaps. Cylindricals are all wrong for that. They would just be a waste of good plastic.

+1
It's SP SA or nothing for this set.

Oh no! So I'm gonna have to build a 60% keyboard to show these off. Thanks!!

Yup! The budget for these caps needs to include an awesome board as well.

I cannot wait to get my hands on these!

I've been keeping my eyes peeled for any sight/sound/smell of either this keyset or nuclear data coming up anywhere.

The closest i've come to any kind of information is that i've seen some sa retro keys show up in a few recent grab bag pics over on /r/mk.

Everyone there seems to be hyped about getting 13 identical left shift keys from last years massdrop group buy set.

But me.... well.... i've been salivating over the very small handful of petscii keys that have shown up unnoticed at the very edge of a couple of photos.

I've seen some of those delicious dark chocolate brown alphas, a couple of burgundy mods, and what may possibly be either my imagination or the result of a fevered southern hemisphere summer dream.... a single green commodore key.

I live in hope, from day to day, constantly searching for my plastic El Dorado(s) :D

As for nuclear data, i've seen nothing. So I suspect there's either nothing doing or it's being kept more secret than the original trinity project.

can confirm - I have about a third of the alphas in my last grab bag. Its in production, and i suspect, like Nuke Data will go on their site directly. Just like Hana did in DSA recently.

When you say "their site directly" you mean pimpmykeyboard?

Dark red CA66 no the way... Hopefully I can pick up a set of these ooooohhh man that'd be perfect.

I think I'm already signed up for PMK's newsletter, but I'm signing up again anyway...

Nuclear data, too? I almost dropped a couple hundred bucks on someone's set the other day. Count me in for that, too!

I think Nuke Data at $200 is still super cheap for R1. R2 will likely be a similar cost anyway knowing PMKs recent prices for full sets and how much value will R1 really lose?

Well **** me... 2018 is going to be a good year!

A new model F, CA66, Mars 8.0, GMK Camping, GMK Taro, SA ND, SA Retro, and an announcement for GMK Cadet?
My wallet is in shambles, but this is the year of endgames for me I guess...

It was nowhere near $200... I misused "couple"...
Someone else beat me to it by a minute or two... I'm kinda glad, now, I'd be pissed if I dropped bank, and then learned R2 is coming direct to VHS lol

Could also be very old leftovers. Until half a year ago or so there still popped up some Danger Zone in the bags. Matt3o said SA Nuclear Data is in production now, and Retro will follow in Summer, I trust that info more for now.

Yeah it’s happening in summer. I’ve had about 20 keys in grab bags. Apparently it will run Petschii legends

I assume it will be on PMK like the SA:ND re-run, Kits were basically same as OG buy - not sure about prices but they were fair for 2018 SP

Didn't they try that once already? It flew like a lead balloon, as I recall...

i don't remember if it ever got to GB, but i think i remember seeing a massdrop poll

oh actually i looked and found it: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/gmk-retro-keycap-set

lead balloon indeed

maybe a second attempt now would work out, i'd probably buy a set

to be fair, mint dolch was another lead balloon, but massdrop made it float :))

this was before massdrop had that kind of relationship with GMK

Yeah, now they're past 3rd base I think it'd work too

LMAO

i hope so, i love this colorway
