It would be great to share the price brackets for transparency, it would attract more buyers to the GB. Also you may try to get in some vendors to drop the prices.

Then shipping from GMK to me I'll estimate about 90usd (this includes bank wire charges)
5719.23+90=5809.23
And GMK doesn't accept PayPal now, only wire transfer so I'll need to pay in my currency (myr)
5809.3*4.7=27303.71
I'n total the estimated payment that I need to pay to gmk is 27303.71 MYR
So if you calculate the price per pack back to usd here...
27303.71/150/3.9=46.673009

I recall Ivan's GB and everybody saying it was just too much $56 for 48caps (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=66364.0) This GB has 31 caps for about the same price, so my observation isn't that silly :/
yes, $56 is for 48 caps but note that the MOQ at that point of time is 250. which means cheaper price point compared to this GB where we need an MOQ of 150. I've also included calculations in previous posts so that everyone has a clear idea as to why I set it at $50.

If you do reach a lower price tier from GMK due to lots of orders, would that discount be distributed to purchasers, or turn into the "GB Fee"? If the discount does get distributed, do you have any idea how big it would be, and how many orders would be necessary to get it?
the discount won't be really huge. maybe a few dollars? or we can add extra keys. can't be sure yet as I haven't get the quotes for the next MOQ, which is 250.
And yes, the discount will be distributed to purchasers as well (in the form of discount or extra keys). This means that $50 per pack is the max price that you'll pay per pack.

I do not like it much also, but it is such a small and picky detail to let this nice set to pass, some of the keys in the set are very hard to find, or even impossible to find anywhere else, you should reconsider.

another group buy for this kind of set and classic colorway will probably not happen again for at least a long time. personally i'm a text legends mods person, but i'm still getting into this buy since who knows when (or if at all) someone else will do all the work to organize another buy in the future, whether that will reach MOQ, they'll pick the win logo you like, etc.
you could always use black blanks from some other set if the win logos really bother you.
don't miss out. you will regret it later. :)

i'm not very knowledgeable about specific model numbers, but look for either G80 (MX) or G81 (terribad MY switches, but the caps are the same and work for MX), and the letter code suffix should begin with 'H' for doubleshots.

most of the cherry WoB boards seem to either have a top row of relegendables for the top function row, or the bottom row is unusable (the stems are in the wrong places) or have unfortunate items like pad printed windows keys. this mod pack will solve the bottom row issue. :)
definitely order this pack if you think there is any chance you might want to use an OG cherry WoB keyset in the future. :)

I was able to get NIB Cherry keyboards with WoB caps for cheap on eBay. Some common models are G80-8113/8200, and G81-7000. General rule: look for new condition Cherry G80/G81 keyboards with WoB caps. The fist letter after the model number has to start with 'H', like G80-8200HPBUS-2. G81 is MY keyboard, so the bottom row won't fit on MX keyboard (unless it's WKL?). G80-8113/8200 has relegendable for function area keys and number only for numpad and bottom row in WK layout. So even combining a NIB G81-7000 and G80-8113/8200, you won't be able to get one perfect set that works on any keyboard. Most keys work perfectly though, except the lack of 1.5 unit mods and 7 unit spacebar. And that's why this icon mod pack is so valuable. It allows you to combine the caps from G81-7000 (which you can get for cheap on eBay) and caps from this GB and get a perfect set that will work on any keyboard that you ever want to put WoB on.

true. the aim of this set is icon only mods after all. :/
On a similar note, ISO support + no correct grave/backslash keys makes me sad. I'll probably still go for this though due to the high quality, and just put up with having incorrect legends on two of the keys.
yeah, there's no correct grave/backslash keys but there's ISO support because this pack is meant to replace the modifiers that you already have for your ISO or ANSI WoB set.
If we manage to get 250 orders (which is the next tier or the MOQ), we can get extra keys at the same price.

I think the the recent GB failures/scams is why people have been slow to order.. if there is anyway to ensure we get the caps or at least a tracking number before the 180 days from payment of invoices (limit to open PayPal dispute) that would probably help the situation.

Honestly I can live with two Alt keys as well, Alt Gr is just for aesthetical purposes, but again, it's a matter of preferences and mine shifts towards the latter.

I got black and beige ones from IMSTO, they match well with my OG Cherry, in particular the beige, I think they are made by BSP, their profile is exactly the same as my original OG Cherry, I could not be happier now, because I hate the shiny spots on my original ABS space bars.

Vortex (older stock) or Gateron (newer stock) is what IMSTO usually sells. BSP does not have spacebar moulds for our sizes. The Vortex ones are kinda thin and not that good; I have many of them in beige.
I don't see using a PBT spacebar on an ABS keyset as an option, but I'm glad it works for you, and is a good alternative for those that don't mind mixing ABS and PBT.
I really enjoy typing on uniformed texture/materials, so I try to keep avoid mixing ABS (OG Cherry ABS or GMK) with PBT (OG Cherry PBT or Gateron or any other Chinese equivalent).
I actually don't mind shine on my ABS keysets, as I find it adds character and feels fine to type on, but just would prefer to have a few extra spacebars on hand in case I ever want to swap in a new one (since they wear a bit faster than the rest of the keys).
For the same reasons of not wanting to mix ABS/PBT keysets, I have replaced my Realforce stock ABS spacebars with a PBT one, so my fingers are happy and unconfused. ^-^

I actually prefer all my space bars to be PBT even if I have an ABS set, unless it's an SA set. I'm very sensitive to how my space bars should sound, so I almost always put a PBT bar if possible. The sound is much better, and I prefer the feel of PBT over ABS for my thumbs. :thumb:

A full set, especially WoB, is going to have some difficulties, but you never know.
I would be more happy if we just ran the modpack first. My experience is that everyone LOVES to see WoB on a keyboard, but when it comes to buying it, I don't think there is a lot of interest.
I do wish to see more WoB sets, because I am the #1 WoB fan (I have as much WoB as possible, and as many layout keys as possible), so definitely would love to be proven wrong and that there is enough demand.

Oh, I had no idea, thanks for letting me know.
I wish I had gotten in on one of those, as WoB is my favourite colourway (besides Skidata of course ;)).
Definitely will be keeping an eye on more sets, and hope that this modpack will still happen, as I have a SeKret keyboard that would really benefit from it. ^-^

As a Swede I say... screw nordic kit. Would never hit MOQ anyway =) I think all gmk MOQ is 150... (I would love åäö, but I'm a realist, not a dreamer).
Adding the extra 1u's is kinda essential though to market the combination as Iso compatible (and maybe a text enter (and possibly a 1.25 shift)).

oh... I just noticed that because those 2 ISO specific keycaps are missing, then the icon ISO enter and the 1.25 Shift are not compatible with the full WOB kit (as that is ANSI only).
I, for one, joined the mod kit mainly for the ISO keys as I already have an Ansi WOB kit.
For example, the |\ key should be R4 (not R1 as in the mockup) to sit next to the 1.25U shift. Example image (http://i.imgur.com/oFMFpFH.png)
Also, is there a bundle kit option? for example, if someone decides to order both kits, they will get get a bunch of multiple keycaps of the same type: 4 1.25u Alt and Control, 4 1.5u Alt and Control, 2 6.25 U spacebars and 2 7U spacebars (although the spacebars tend to get shiny faster so spares are ok :P). Aren't these extra caps just useless cost for people who will want both sets?

I'm OK with it! ;-) If you decide against adding the keys though I think a big disclaimer on the first post is due.
(I will also not be able to pick up the full set if that's the case, as it will be way too much money for something missing two keys).
EDIT: About the alpha/mods thought. Wouldn't the hhkb r1 |\ also be considered an alpha then? ;) I also think adding the keys to the mod pack makes sense, as the pack then can be used as a ANSI to ISO adapter kit for the OG WoBs out there.

Shipping is $15 if you get the main set and the icon mods together and there's no bundle price :( for now. will think of something for those who doesn't want the extra caps
I'm okay with paying for extra caps, but I don't want to pay for redundant caps. Please figure something out for those of us who want the base set + mod set :)

I prefer #2, not only because the R4 key is the closest to swedish layout, but also as I kinda like the look of the side printed keys (yeah, I know... I'm weird) .

The center-stem is a pretty rare thing; only a few companies made them, if that many. I think SP is the only one who does them at the moment, and they're sold via TechKeys.

I theory I agree with you.
Practically it makes sense to add the two 1u keys too, as that's the only thing missing to also make the pack an "ANSI to ISO conversion pack" too. I mean a "2-in-1 modifier and fix pack", that does sound kind of cool, doesn't it ;)
(And I would guess the added cost would be minimal. Looking at the average cost per keycap at the moment it's $1.5, so hopefully people would be ok to add $2-3 to help us poor ISO users... ;) ).

Without those 2 1u keycaps, the Iso enter and the 1.25u left shift are useless for anyone that has an ansi set.

This is most probably the biggest update for this gb now.
Addition of few keys into this set
I've decided to add in two keys to cater to the interests of people who wants this set for their ISO layout, or to convert their ANSI set into ISO.
OG WoB ISO is hard to get. I haven't even seen them before. So I've decided on adding these two keys:

R3 ' # (with front printed ~) and R4 > < (with front printed | \) respectively.
Also, every set comes with one Cherry Logo WoB keycap on top of the two ISO keys.
Price increase
The set is now $55 as opposed to $50 as per the initial GMK renders.
Any extras will help out with the MOQ, on top of the 10+ sets that I've taken them myself.
Initially, I wanted to remove the spacebars and replace them with the ISO keys but there is quite a huge amount of people who ordered this DO NOT want the spacebars to be removed so I believe this is the best choice.
I will start issuing invoice that will be due on the 9th of June. If you have any order changes, please let me know.
These will be the final changes made to this set. I believe and I hope that this set will accommodate the needs of most of you guys, if not all of you.

On eBay there seem to be far more old Cherry boards with article numbers like G8x-yyyyLzzz-2 than G8x-yyyyHzzz-2. If I've understood this correctly, it seems lasered keycaps are far more common than doubleshots. Will I be able see or feel a significant difference between those keycaps and the ones offered in this group buy?

I will get a payment confirmation from GMK and I will post a screenshot of the email here, in which you guys can proceed and confirm with GMK if that's legit.
Production should be within three months. However, the production timeframe will depend on their current production workload and will be longer or shorter.
I've already sent them an email asking for the latest renders and also the production timeframe for this mod pack.
I hope I've answered your question.
EDIT: just got in contact with them and they mentioned that the production time would be 8 weeks, assuming that the payment is made within the course of next month.

How likely it is that someone who ordered will not use their tsangan/HHKB kit? I'm only interested on the tsangan/HHKB so that I can finish my 60% build. There is quite a few people who haven't paid their invoice.
This means that there will be extras after this and it'll be sold at the same gb price with no markup.

I'm so, so, so, sorry! I'm definitely one of the ones with an outstanding invoice because I just saw it on my PayPal account overview.
I submitted an order late, asked a question in the thread, and you were out for a few days, so I just assumed I had missed the boat and stopped checking the thread. Then, when the PayPal invoice email came in, I apparently missed it entirely.
Again, super sorry.
If the invoice is still valid and you'll still let me pay and get my caps, I'll happily pay. Just let me know!

I did not mean flipper as in scalper, just in the sense that you just sold them straight after getting them, I usually put them on my board for a week or two first :p

Opened a Paypal dispute right away today.
Was getting suspicious when there's no notification of shipment whatsoever since I completed the payment on March 29th.
Damn, I did the same thing. Since this keeps happening to us and he has not been on-line since January, cant a Admin edit the main post? That way this doesn't happen to any one else?
I have tried emailing him directly and got no reply either.
