We have similar taste. Only my 65g Zealios ended up in my Compact SQ and I'm still waiting for my Hack'd to be delivered (FML)!

I recommend seeing if the similar measurements that olkb.co uses for Plancks would work (I think they're metric though). I can help look into this a little bit later.

Those standoffs are going to be 1/4in long which will leave the case shorter than most sandwich cases. I'd recommend 3/8in standoffs because it'll leave the keycaps at a regular 3/4in height (from cap bottom to table) and 1/4in will result in usb clearance issues. Also if anyone plans on hand wiring a 1/2in standoff will be necessary because the teensy needs more clearance.

As far as screw length goes just divide the standoff length by 2, with the plate thickness they won't hit each other.

Edit: and if you aren't counter sinking the plates you'll want button head or similar

Yes but if the plate isn't counter sunk they'll sit very weirdly and won't tighten correctly. It'll look like ****.

Yeah, a binder head will work fine and the length will be perfect.

That'll be taller than a binder or button head and most people might not have torx but I suppose it's up to the people in the GB.

Got the spacers and screws today. Everything is fine, except the spacers a teensy bit too wide. Luckily, since they're nylon you can just sand them a tiny bit and they fit nicely. I'll send out the first six sets to people to make sure everything is in order

Oh yeah baby! As pretty as I was expecting it to be! When you'll have the time for the prettier shots, do you mind taking some profile pictures with the middle piece as well please? So far it seems to give pretty much the same look as if it was a frosty polycarb middle piece IMO which is awesome!


Did they give you an ETA for the second round of cases btw?

Yeah, the waterjetting seems to have given it sort of a frosted look. I'm just waiting til the first set of people get their cases and confirm that everything is perfect before making the last batch.

And I totally forgot to weigh, guess either someone here can do it or I will if no one does by the time I get the next cases
