Speaking of Model M's . . .

I just recently ordered a EnduraPro from Unicomp.

It includes a numpad...but the saving grace is the fact that it has a built-in trackpoint.  So, the reason I hate the numpad is nullified (reaching over it to get to my pointing device).

It has been sent home (for some reason, Unicomp is not allowed to export the USB-version overseas)...so it will be a little while before I get hands on it.

Chopping off the numpad would make a nice modding project.

Hmmm....

It WOULD make a nice modding project.  I just have no idea how I would properly "cap off" the end after I removed the numpad portion.

You don't?  http://www.tlb.org/keyboardchop.html

Just chop off a bit on the left for symmetry! If there's room, that is.
