R1 Del-End-PgDn seem to belong in the numpad kid as opposed to the base kit seeing as those are typically only used with 1800 layouts which naturally require a numpad. I didn’t follow the Jamón IC/GB so maybe they have a reason for including them, but to me they don’t seem to have a place in a base kit that’s designed for TKL and smaller only.

Edit: Digging the accents and novelties!

Oh well true. I do have two 75% boards but i am using standard print, lock pause combo. Anyway i'll keep those keys in the base set.

May we have some 1.5u novelties?
They go well with the 80% wkl kustoms.

good.

It might be sufficient to keep just R1 DEL in the base set.  End and PgDn already have their respective default placement in 75% layouts - R4, R3.

If you are splitting the numpad based on decreasing popularity, conversely can you consider spreading novelty keys in their respective kits (base and 40)?  According to the current Jamon numbers, the main novelties number is at ~70% of the base set number.

Love the new updates, any possibility of all orange mod kit to cover for TKL and Numpad? Even if the price is high for small MOQ (say 50), I will pay, I am sure there are atleast 50 of orangephiles in community.
I ordered Beezarre kit in Carbon R2, would love to complete an all orange set.
I thought we learned our lesson with Carbon R2. Let’s not go through that again.

This. And such mods would not match Beezarre anyway because the lables do have different colors (Carbon has gray and Eclipse has off blue labels).

I am personally not a huge fan of the orange color novelties. I liked the original IC's like scarlet/maroon red. I also liked the novelties from the original the pumpkins. I also suggest thought not sure if its possible or even advisable perhaps giving some thought to running this like they did Zambumon GMK Jamón. The kits seem to have done extremely well perhaps this could benefit from it also. I know it wouldn't please everyone but yea.

Yeah, I only use the R1 DEL but really curious on much price change would 2 keys make.

Orange is not a easy color to go with others.
I'd prefer red. Even green, yellow or purple will be also great.

Orange with Blue is a classic pairing. So glad that Carbon orange alphas got picked up and plan to combine them with Space Cadet mods. A set of Orange mods, irrespective of legend colour will be cherry on top.

That's why i picked orange as accents for novelties. This is a classic combo. Also it makes the set little bit flashier which is a purpose of the novelties.

Of course tastes are different and if someone doesn't like orange accents there are still light blue accents available.

Impressed by your new version! I'm trying the hardest to find fault here... and failing! ;D

The only change I'd make is in the space bar kit: I'd add a 1.25U blank key. Other than that... bravo!

As you can see the renders do represent different layouts and accent keys.

I would rate N9 at 95 to 90% of black. Carbon/Oblivion would be 80 to 75% of black probably.

Update
I will finalize the kits until the end of this week (cuz it will drop soon™). So if you have a suggestion or you miss an important key then there is some time left to make a suggestion/request. Tho please keep in mind i am trying to achieve low pricings and its not possible to support exotic layouts.

Spacebar kit
- changed 6.25u and 7u spacebars to Yuri light blue color
- added 1.25u, 1.5u and 1.75u blank keys in two color variations.

Since no one asked, why is ISO support in the base kit? Barely anyone uses it, around 4-5% iirc. It should be in the 40s kit or something considering the point of the base kit is to have a lower entry price?

I've added only necessary ISO keys and i think this is the only chance for iso users to get a matching keyset. But placing those keys into 40s kit is definitely an alternative. I will think about it.

No i didn't. I think everyone who is specifically interested in custom keyboards/keysets is here (on Geekhack). But i did not teased my previous keysets on Massdrop too and they did quite well. I assume large portion of buyers are joining keyset drops spontaneously.

yeah personally i feel like the orange is a bit too harsh.  i'm thinking a pale orange might look better, similar to the light blue.

i had joined the original GB attempt, so it's nice to see this set make a comeback.

I am with both of you, kinda feels like a carbon reject key. I know its harsh but thats the first thing that came to mind. I do like the idea of a pale/muted orange thought that could look nice. I know when seen this set I think of fall tones.

I made following poll for accent and novelties kit. I will wait until tomorrow then i will make a decision depending on results.
VOTE HERE FOR ACCENTS AND NOVELTIES

Old Version

New Version

In case the old novelty version wins, then i will remove the accents from the base and numpad kits. In case the new version wins then i will make another 24h poll for the accent color. I can also include the pumpkin novelty into the new version.

I'm worried that the original accent kit might be too large. While I prefer the original colors, I think if it wins the poll, it might be worth considering trimming it down a bit. I don't really think the alternate color function row keys are necessary, and the variety of novelties could be cut down a bit. I think the moon keys are a must, in order to stay true to the theme of the set, but weren't the pumpkin novelties first introduced when the set was supposed to be run around Halloween? While they're neat, I don't think they really fit the eclipse/moon theme very well. That said, I'm not really against the pumpkin, just voicing my concerns on the size of the accent/novelty kit.
