Advice for this unhappy keyboard reviewer?
« on: Tue, 19 February 2013, 12:09:05 »
I'm sure this is not a new situation for the guys on geekhack. Yet, I thought is was funny as hell that she posted it on Amazon. My wife has threatened to take a hammer to my PC and keyboard many times.  :-\  Any advice for this disgruntled girlfriend? What was the worst your significant other has threatened?

Honnestly, that's impossible. I don't know 1 guy that would refuse sex, whatever the reason. It's genetic, we can't say no.

Kinda funny but probably fake. You should decide if its your GF or your wife before you make up a story like this. I think you made that amazon post because no one would say that to their wife/gf unless they were being sarcastic. IMO

You should get rid of your gf/wife as soon as possible and live happily with your kb.

I just saw it yesterday and it was posted in Dec 2012. Probably just sarcastic but still funny. I can think of a dozen ways to make it more funny if I would have written it.  :p

If it was my wife, she would have blamed it on Call of Duty. hooah

I'm the sole supporter of my household, so when I get a keyboard, I gush about it with the wife and she goes "that's cute". :D :D :D

There is no such a thing as an ugly girl. There is just girls that require you to drink more alcool to find them pretty  :p (not trying to be sexist )

lol, idk. I tend to black out after the first bottle of vodka, and even then there are plenty of ladies that I wouldn't touch. Of course, sleeping on the floor of the bathroom tends to be a good deterrent to keep them away.

It's simple, find something your girlfriend/wife/whatever has or collects which you find unnecessary which is in the best case expensive too, a common thing would be shoes, purses or makeup (everybody has something like this). It's mostly something they use everyday so you can tell them that you use your keyboard everyday and you like collecting those, so if they want you to stop collecting keyboards they will have to stop collecting those things. Of course she will not :D

Lube up her switch and apply firm pressure with your typing fingers, but be careful not to bottom out. If this is an issue try o-rings and don't forget to use a keyboard cover to prevent unwanted dust.
