Hi guys,
I made a custom PCB in Kicad and am trying to get it produced by JLPCB. It keeps giving me an error with my CPL file. Has anyone has experince working with them from kicad? It seems like they really want me to use easyeda but it doesn't convert nicely from kicad and I don't want to redo all my work

Have you followed their guide? https://support.jlcpcb.com/article/44-how-to-export-kicad-pcb-to-gerber-files
Plenty of people use KiCad and JLC, so there should not be any need to redo work ;D

If you post the actual error someone may have seen it and know what they did to fix it.

I recently successfully used JLCPCB assembly service and I'm a Kicad user.
On their website they have a very clear documentation on how to proceed on Kicad to generate BOM (components reference) and centroid files (used by pnp machines):
https://support.jlcpcb.com/article/84-how-to-generate-the-bom-and-centroid-file-from-kicad
As I already did that process I am available for any questions you would have on this topic :)
The previous link posted by Applet was more to generate gerber files, also very useful document ;)

Thanks for the replies guys! I think I got it all figured out now, that guide was really hlepful to get rid of all the errors. I also found this site really helpful for getting the footprints that were on easyeda that I couldn't find anywhere else, as it automatically converts them into kicad.
