Do we have any further info on the PCB as of yet? Looking to get ahold of some hotlites to replace switches in the future.

Do we know if all of the pcb holes are standard size or are they going to get funky on the bottom row?

They can use different ones that aren't available on digikey. I'll get some.

Also some good news:

1. I'm placing the order with GMK for the screw in stabs. Stabs for all!
2. The Brass Plate is now PVD plated (same as the brass weight), and has some real gold in it

Everyone back on the steel plate regret train chooooo chooooooooo

Seriously though that's amazing.  Does that mean they'll resist corrosion?

That is correct. Just like brass handles or faucets, or like brass weights found in other customs.

Great news!
Now regarding the GMK stabilizers, have they been used or sold recently? I've mostly seen them in ICs or old GBs or being referenced in discussions, but I don't remember reading a proper feedback about them. Like would anything else than the materials change compared to Zeal's stabs who are also the screw in kind?

I have not tried any, but there was an international group buy for them recently in Asia IIRC.

They should be the same in design, but are not pre-clipped. I'm not 100% sure about the material on Zeal's, but I believe the GMK ones should be the same ones as Cherry OEM ones :)

Please do, I'm halfway across the world, so I don't want to make the mistake of picking up the wrong size

If anyone is  looking to pick up an order, someone just dropped out, and I'd to just fill it since I placed the order with the manufacturer.

It is for: M65-A Space Gray + Nylon Base + PCB + Brass plate + Shipping (specific to your destination). Total is $285 + shipping to you.

I have some holtites but if this PCB doesn't support these standard size sockets, I'd also definitely be interested in alternative hotswaps.

I think they said there will be some extras.  Also, I'm sure some people will aftermarket sell theirs once they get it.

Do you know if the holes are larger diameter (like Duck Lightsaver V1 PCB I had, I think), so the hotlite pieces need to be larger?

There is a ic https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=87127.0 where this list has been posted.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K1qt70E2mcuaHBXYrpPHXlpl7FNaXLo0u_TOe67cVdY/pubhtml?gid=986897710&single=true

It says on the PS2AVRGB pcb the Holtite falls trough. But i dont know if there are any differences for the m65 pcb.

i would also want to get my hands on some for this build if it is possible :)

Hi everyone,

I've updated post #2, and will be logging updates there (when I remember).

But here's the summary of what has happened so far:

1. GMK Screw in stabs for all.
2. Brass Plate (not weight) is now PVD coated with hints of real gold in it.
3. Payment has been made to manufacturer.
4. Deskmat is going through a few variations and will be done soon! :)

edit:

5. Custom boxes have been designed specifically for this. They look dope AF.

A "WORK IN PROGRESS" for the Deskmat. It's looking amazing. I can't wait to see the final version. It really reminds me of those Ikea manuals that you have to look through while constructing furniture. Now, I have this strong appreciation now for those designers since I know how many hours its taken to get to this point.

Great work Rama & Rama'sBae (Kate).

The design looks great! Just hope the final color of the background isn't white.

The typical Blue background with white colors wouldn't be bad, however, something cool like grey with different color images (purple, black, red) would be cool.

Oh, coloring the components vaguely correctly colored (as opposed to coloring the nine images different colors) would be really nifty.

MOUSEPAD DESIGN DONE.

The white will be grey, just like the Cherry Mousepads using this CMYK code:(10,7,8,0)

I love the BOM style sequence of assembly but feel like the last one on the bottom right should show the completed board top front. I mean the entire sequence shows the board from the bottom. If you took out one of the less interesting ones from the middle row and shifted everything around to fit it I think it would close the whole thing out nicely.

That mousepad looks pretty bomb. Too bad I didn't order one; figured I had enough extras as it is 😀
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.
