Those plates are fire! With all these guys that keep giving up their orders, I might have to get a second one!

There wouldn't happen to be any extra brass plates are there? :O.

I'd love to upgrade to one!

When I asked jchan right after the sample came out he said there would be extras after the GB.

Really disappointed I missed out on this. Was off getting married :( Eagerly waiting for R2.

We'll have extras at the end.

The secondary post has been edited for our timeline.
OMG thanks! I was kicking myself for  missing this as I wasn't into keyboards at that time.... Is there some way to get reminded automatically when this comes in?

I realize that I really want a Nintendo Switch, and with no need for a 68% (Damn impulse buys!), I'm giving my spot away.

Total - $335 USD

Champagne Case w/ Nylon Base - $210
PCB - $40
Brass Plate Upgrade - $35
Shipping - $50

Send me a message and I'll get it sorted with JChan!

Just sent a message! Hopefully I can change the case color too. Also might not be a fan of the brass plate, hopefully someone wants them! :)

Edit: on hold as I'm figuring out if the layout is totally for me - sold a FC660C real fast after buying it as I couldn't get used to it.

Okie - will keep that in mind. First to get this transferred (any chance of a color change?) , some tweaking of the shipping fees (am in conus so should be cheaper), and to figure out the brass plates.

Another quick question - are we adding/soldering the switches afterwards on our own? Sorry for the noob questions haha

331 MM in width :)

There's also a 3D model (STL) here if you need specific dimensions: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B-C81Q5UTO8zbkxiQ3VxSEl2bTQ?usp=sharing

Hope that helps!

Yupp. We'll have some extras and such after. We only have about 20 brass plates or so for spares, that won't go into pre-assigned "buy it as is" full units.

Hi jchan,

I'm hoping to change part of my order, but I'm not sure if that can be done this far into the GB.
I originally had a nylon base for the space gray top, but I was hoping to change that to an aluminum bottom. Is it possible to swap with one of the extras after orders are shipped out?

For these pre-made units, I'd prefer to just keep them as is. Since they're so organized already ya know ?:)

We'll have mousepads leftover, so don't worry about that :)

Any idea on which direction the switches will face on the PCB?   I ask because I just discovered today that GMK caps do not work on R3 switches where the led faces north (upside down switch placement).  Well, they work, but have a muted bottoming out since the keycap collides with the switch housing. Yes, this is a thing.  Yes I believe thousands of GMK users have overlooked it. Please for the love of god point the switches correctly.  Pretty sure a large chunk of us will be putting GMK sets on here.

LEDS are in the South position.

Also, you want 1.8mm LEDS.

Hi,

I finally got around to take the photos of the brass plate that I have.

Please compare them, but please note that these aren't the final plates that you'll be getting. You'll be getting: Polished with PVD coating.

Only Polish.

Will 2x3x4 LEDs still work for DSA or SA but not GMK?

GMK caps do not work on R3 switches where the led faces north (upside down switch placement).  Well, they work, but have a muted bottoming out since the keycap collides with the switch housing. Yes, this is a thing.  Yes I believe thousands of GMK users have overlooked it.

LEDS are in the South position.

Also, you want 1.8mm LEDS.

Will 2x3x4 LEDs still work for DSA or SA but not GMK?

Yes this absolutely is a thing. Many people are nescient and no one seems to ever talk about it. So many people putting gmk or similar low profile sets on upside down switches.

Gladly it seems that all, if not most quality pcbs for custom builds are designed for correct switch orientation.

Also with LEDs. Even with south positioned LEDs for me personally GMK caps still bottom out on the LED.
I've tried 2x3x4, even 1.8 LEDs I got from Winkeyless still bottom out on the keycap. The only thing that works for me is clear switchtops with 2x3x4 leds mounted underneath the switchtop.
However I think this may not work with holtite sockets.
