First off I love the color palette, I think that it is perfect.

The problem I have is with the fact that it is SA.  This reminds me a lot of the recent massdrop buy for the Jukebox SA keyset (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/jukebox-sa-keyset).

I'm personally partial to DCS and DSA profiles, due to their height.  If this was DCS it would be amazing because there are so few if any keysets of that profile that have such large legends.

GIVE US AN UPDATE PLS!!!

Maybe. Not saying I just updated the mockups, but I did update the mockups and added a new kit.

Also, this is about to finalized. I just need proper files for the Velocicaptor and Terminal to send to SP for new molds.
Is someone willing to do this for me? I don't have the skills necessary to do anything.

Spherical keycaps only look good when they have large centered alpha legends.
If you don't like the large legends then this profile in general just isn't for you.

I agree, no other type of legend would really look good with SA profile

This is pretty much PMK ready
I just need to scrape together a mock up for a dox kit and get proper files for the two custom legends.
Once those two things are done we can comfortably head to voting.

Please include a variety of EXTRA space bars to purchase separately.

Carbon had kicked me in the balls regarding buying any extra spacers so I don't want the same treatment with your key-set.  Please have mercy upon my balls  :-[ .

Although your inclusion of extra G80-1800 keys is a joy to behold and looking forward to this set being thrust upon us, as soon as possible  :thumb: .

I absolutely despise Massdrop for the many issues they have had.
Even it it meant not cashing in hard I would not stoop so low to have something of my creation on their website.

Signature Plastics is currently going through changes with their system.
Currently we can't actually go to the interest check stage on the site as they are modifying their process.

However, it is definitely possible for us to go through and have this sold on SP's site and not MD.
If there is enough of a voice I may allow this set to go through MD, however, if that is the case then I will refuse to take any money and instead have it given directly to GH to fund server hosting.
Perhaps in light of GH needing funding I could see if we could work with MD to raise funds, however I still do have my issues with the service like I have previously stated.

PBT SA keycaps do exist and you can buy some blank ones on the PMK store (1x caps in WAN or WAS, 1.5x caps in OT), but they're leftovers from a test run and won't be mass produced by SP. SP doesn't have the capability to dyesub or doubleshot these and is not interested in mass manufacture for GB's. No reasons given.

They're thinner than ABS SA caps, but still pretty solid (2nd from left):
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

That is quite interesting.
Although I don't think they would be suitable at all imo.
You can see that on the sides of the PBT cap that there is warping causing the plastic to bend inward.
This is due to the higher shrink ratio of the PBT material during cooling. It may not be much of an issue for smaller caps, but for anything larger it would be an issue.
The only way to fix that would be through brand new moulds designed to handle that plastic.

Out of curiosity, as I appear to be out of the loop on this, what's the problem with Massdrop?
There have been a lot of problems with MD, sometimes delays in shipping orders, but most often just mismanagement of the distribution, things like badly packaged and/or damaged items, the TA groupbuy being the most recent example of that. People mostly feel that MD hasn't done anything to make up for their past mistakes, and they've also been doing a really bad job shipping corrections to those ripped off by damage to their TA sets.

I maybe one of the few that received all their TA caps in perfect condition with no damage at all.

It could be pure dumb luck or simply that vast numbers who ordered the TA set and only a few had publicly complained but I suspect the vast majority, received their key-caps in good condition.

I've ordered twice on MD and the 2 times there was something wrong with the order. I ordered a switch tester and I didn't get all the switches advertised for. They told me they would ship them to me but it never happened. The second time was for the CMYW. I received a damaged key and was told that I would get recontacted for the change of that key. Never heard of them since and it was a few weeks back.

I feel like you are good to go as long as there are no problem with what you receive.

I've ordered quite a few items from them and never had any issues. I wasnt on the TA order though, just to be clear. SP caps always ship in bags though, which never has really been a problem. The TEX acrylic case I just got yesterday was packed better than just about anything I've ever gotten from them. So I think its a good combination of ventor+MD. I know a warehouse on the opposite side of the country from their office is now doing all the shipping, they really need to make sure they keep them in check.

Now, on topic, I am ready to throw money at this set. Right. Now. :D

Unfortunately this set cannot go with the 7g because of its unusual enter key. That key is neither ISO or ansi, and is instead dubbed as the big ass enter.

I love the look of this set. I'm pretty sure I'd be in.

I'm really digging the pbt's on my pok3r though. I wonder if the feel is significantly different with ABS? A million opinions on this I'm sure.

In any case, I'm very interested.

I've missed so many SA profile sets recently and I'm absolutely loving the CMYK modifiers with the beige! Definitely would hop on this! Now I just gotta make sure my wallet can make it to the group buy date haha.

I'd definitely throw money at this, especially with those sweet RGB modifiers. It's been what I've been looking for for ages

However I would prefer the RGB mods to not be in desaturated colors.

The OP did good with his choice of colours because this is after all RetroBlight, reflecting true age as a design consideration one of the only few key-sets to exhibit this.

Looking forward to when this goes LIVE Frosty, make it soon okay.

I understand they might go against the overall aesthetic, however it would be really nice to have as an option modifiers in RA, (red) VCS, (green) and BFX (blue) even if just part of a child deal.
