Varmilo keycap colours
« on: Wed, 29 March 2017, 08:48:27 »
I am looking to order a custom keyboard from Varmilo and I'm just wondering if there is a colour image chart of their available keycaps, or a sample page of some sort where I can see the full range? At the moment I'm just Googling for various images of keyboards and what people have, but of course different lighting affects how they look so it's hard to gauge, plus it's not always clear if they're using Varmilo or a custom set. I need UK ISO and either Cherry profile or Varmilo's own (which I understand is very close to Cherry profile), so my options are more limited. Thanks in advance. :)

That's a nice yellow they have :D
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I suggest watching video reviews, you get a better idea. For pictures one can use the best possible light, usually natural light, so video reviews recorded indoors can give you a more accurate and realistic sneak peek.

About the ISO layout I wouldn't say limited since they already have it. I was about to purchase UK layout myself before Google Images showed me this !

Yeah I recently discovered that, AND they are PBT, AND they are near as dammit Cherry profile... which is a VERY rare combination of characteristics!!
