Would love a rainbow set, but if not then I'd settle for white.

I'm interested as well.  I'm down for whatever color is best available, I just want to try a set of POMs.  If I had a choice though it'd be orange, purple, or blue.

In for a set! I liked your post

White, blue, magenta, orange, yellow, etc

Everything mentioned is solid

(I dont know my sizing too well, will I be able to use these on any one of my keyboards: KBT Race / KBC Poker 2 / Ducky Shine 3?)

Well... Technically there was the Red Scarf III which didn't... But that was an entire keyboard so it made sense. :))

i might be into this. if there is a possibility of 2-color, would we be able to get a second 'mod' color tab/backslash key for hhkb-layout/to appease those who prefer symmetrical color schemes?

As far as I understood Ivan he will offer two separate sets for easy mix'n'match. A 2 tone set would be too much sorting work for him.

So just buy one of each and build the combination you want  :thumb:

Here is a comparison picture for keycap profiles:

Most keyboards come with OEM profile keycaps as standard.  These will be cherry profile, which is "shorter" than OEM.

He is just wondering about whether the taller row 5 will be used on the f row.
Most Cherry profile sets do not have row 5 f keys however some Cherry sets do.

The gateron moulds for the PBT set had f and j keys which were both scooped with homing bars. An interesting design.
However, I am not sure what is going on here. My source says that gateron does not have the tooling for POM sets.
They do have moulds for PBT keycaps but they can't use those same moulds for POM since different plastics have different shrink ratios.

At this time, I think going for simple translucent 'milky' color is the best approach. I may also consider doing batch dye on them in the various iDye poly colors. This way we get the best of all worlds without individual MOQ for different colors.

For me, I'm most interested in making combos with 2 key sets to create 2 tone (dark/light) layouts of a colour e.g. light and dark blue, green, red, orange..

I'd be pretty much in for whatever dark/light sets you might have available.. though I'd probably also play with complementary colour combinations :-)

Are you thinking of actually doing all this work (dying!) or selling dye kits as well?

Any status you'd care to share on how this potential GB is coming along? (Having received Gateron PBT's, I am really excited about these POM's. Their Cherry profiles are tops.)

Purely on the basis of price alone this is definitely a superior set, but 300 MOQ sounds like a lot, and feng's buy is the second in a short amount of time. Is there enough interest to reach MOQ for multiple colors?

You're right, the MOQ is a risk. But I'm done with settling due to FOMO. I'm either getting the Cherry profile POM caps I want, or no caps at all.

Probably OEM. Why are you asking? Do you plan to mix and match the stock caps with some POMs?

I'm actually building my own B.face with HHKB layout. It's just that I got really used to this profile and I find it comfortable... so I'd like to stick with it.

FWIW, most people with an opinion prefer Cherry profile to OEM. I don't have a preference, but the two definitely don't mix.

If feel is important to you, you may want to try POMs before you buy. They are... slippery.

If feel is important to you, you may want to try POMs before you buy. They are... slippery.

To add on to this, the cheapest way to try out POM caps are to find an old set of Cherry caps that someone pulled off a G80 or something. Slippery is a good way to put it, it's not the texture of the cap but more a quality of the material itself.
