195740-0 [ Specified attachment is not available ]  Currently using a GH60Satan with cherry reds to try out a new keyset I got in the mail. For some odd reason I do like lasered PBT.

Current daily driver (until my Mars 8.0 arrives and gets build): A g80-3000, cut down to 70% cuz I need to save some space on my desk again. Only thing that sucks: No layers currently.
Case will be sanded and painted at some point to cover the stitches.

And perhaps also sanded, sandblasted before painting if you want to maintain that texture.

Soon to be swapping back and forth with an IBM Model F AT. Two awesome boards!!

FYI, you can paint on acetone and use it like glue on ABS. You can also melt down some of the case scraps in acetone till a goo and use it as filler, then sand smooth.
Thank you guys, will take a look on both options and decide for one (or better both combined?!)!

First I've read of an Avid KB-654. That board looks like a very useful piece of kit to have around.

Avid does a lot of media composition and editing stuff, notably tools which are useful for post production, etc. A lot of their older keyboards are mechanical, I think the first I have seen was a clone of the Apple Extended Keyboard II (White Alps I think it had) with keycaps designed for their software. I own the Avid Mechanical User Interface that they designed which has Cherry M8 switches (which you can see here: https://deskthority.net/wiki/Avid_Mechanical_User_Interface). I bought the KB-654 a few years ago brand new for about $50. The keycaps are kind of cheap (laser engraved ABS) but they have a nice aesthetic to them anyways.

Cherry MX silent stems in gateron transparant top housing with default cherry bottom Lubed with Krytox.
Genuine Cherry stabilizers clipped and bandaid modded and lubed with super lube.

I love how silent and smooth it is. I finally got some use for the Cherry mx silent switches from the group buy that had production faults with the spring weight and stem color.

100 grams you have some muscle fingers. I swapped mine with regular mx black springs 60 grams.

Brought my "kustom" to work, which supplants my Realforce (or, as my co-workers liked to say, my "gamer" and "old-ass" keyboard).

First time using a non-Topre mechanical keyboard here. Haven't figured out how to turn off the RGB settings through Jigon; I clicked on the RGB Off setting but it doesn't seem to do what it claims.
I have lubed, 72g Tactile Gray switches, and, since this is the first time I'm using this at the office, I did not realize how much louder MX switches sound compared to Topre. I've been used to using Topre at work and MX at home that I never bothered comparing the difference in frequencies.

But so far no prolonged glances from passersby!  :thumb:

I don't get it why people think it looks old it looks modern to me. I guess everything has to be black to be considered to be modern in these days. Even my bright Blue VA68M with blue keycaps was considerd a old keyboard :l. Feel u some people don't know what they are missing out on.

Oh, no; it's my Realforce that my office mates call a "gamer" or "old-ass" keyboard. After three+ years of using it here, it got only a handful of comments. So far I've been using my Jane about a week, so I'm preparing myself for at least one or two comments soon.

There's a guy who has a comment for everything; he's been out of the office for a week, but if it's one person who will mention something it's definitely him. And I'm sure the IT guys will have a comment next time they have to use my computer.

I don't know if it has changed recently, but the last time i used Jigon the only way to turn of the rgb leds was to set their color to black

Lovely board!

Bought a Ducky One 2 Midnight so I was justified in joining the XDA Scrabble GB on Massdrop.

Still have stock doubleshot PBT caps on MX Blues, but should be getting DSA Starry Night in a few weeks' time.

By June I should get my Leopold FC750R with MX Clears, which I'm stoked about.

Which caps are you getting with the Leo? I can't imagine nicer stock keyboards than Leopold makes, so I'm sure you'll be happy with the 750. To me they really feel premium.

Wonderful. That's what I've heard too. I got the white and green set with the white case. Actually got it cheaper than the listed price with 3 day shipping thanks to some points racked up from the purchase of my first board.

Put the Model M back in the cupboard and next in line is a Digital LK46W-A2.
One day I'll make a ps/2 to usb converter to remap especially the nav cluster, but to also use some of the keys that output a scancode that aren't recognised by Windows.

REalForce RGB on white with GMK keycaps. Prefer the light not shining through the legends. I love it. People are wrong IMO, It is actually better quality than say 104UB. It most certainly thwacks. I was a big fan of MX Clears and find the 45G to be heavy enough while easier of the fingers. I was also a big fan of the older Deck keyboards until 7 backups broke. TG3's soldering is terrible. Whereas with Topre everything is top notch. the case does shift like all RealForce but that does not bother me, I know it is quality. Also, Unlikely the SMD LED's solder fails and many less solder joints to begin with. I do have several 104UB but vastly prefer this setup. the lighting is on the lowest setting. Since it really bleeds out from under the GMK's. As of now, other than some Korean customs this is end game. At least until it fails, which I imagine will be a long time. LED's on low should last several hundred thousand hours. I have a bunch of keyboards but this has been daily driver for over a year now.
