Wrist rests
« on: Sun, 05 February 2017, 23:47:13 »
Just finished up my tx-75 and with the sa caps on it I need a wrist rest. Can anyone recommend a good place to get one?  Not a big fan of wood but if that's all there is that will do.  Thanks! Sorry of this is in the wrong thread.

I just ordered a custom from /u/Ensulyn on reddit. I have not received it yet but based on his past work I am excited.

He is on here as well with the same name. Ensulyn.

Here is his profile: https://geekhack.org/index.php?action=profile;u=59106

Pm him and he can send you some pics.

Also, he trades work for Fugu Artisans haha

Those things are basically disposable. I had mine for maybe 2 months of daily use before it started wearing out.

I never used one.
Are they really make difference?

I was thinking to buy one of those wooden ones, like this one: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/npkc-wooden-wrist-rests

Get a "glorious pc" wristrest from amazon. There are two different types (one is thick and one is thin). I like the thin one more.

If you have an old Jenga set, you could just do what I did:

It's about 4 columns across for a 60% board, 5 columns for a TKL, and 6 for a full-sized board. Since I took this picture, I added another row, so it's 4 high and 4 across. Height feels exactly right to me. Run a single strip of duct tape underneath to keep them all together. Folds for travel :) Been using this one for about 2 years now, I think.
