I had a question: why is there not an option for keys which are grey and black, with white legends?

Would be first in line for an R2.There was already an R2. I would look around the mechmarket subreddit or discord for it, they're usually listed around GB price.
If by "dark base" you mean dark alphas, that would be new if there was an R3. They weren't offered in GMK R1 or R2
But some vendors – for example Desk[H]ero, Oblotzky, iLumKB CYL, iLumKB MTNU) – sill have R2 Base kits in stock.
Search for "Darling" in KeycapLendar for a complete list of all GB vendors.
