I  would like you to built mine also ... I got two phantoms on the order. Any chance of getting a nice aluminum case for it? I wanted the MKS one, but was too late for the group buy. Any idea?

The MKC one might not be compatible and I think only 6 total were made/sold. There are quite a few cases in the work, just have to see which ones come out and fit your needs and budget. I doubt they will be out in time for the GB nor included. It should only take 10 minutes and a flathead or allan wrench to install the PCB with switches into a case.

Don't suppose there is pricing on plu switch removal and case modding without assembly?   Want to leave the hard stuff for you and enjoy the easy part myself :p

I want to order some stabilizers and switches, where is the order form?

So that I ensure I'm in before this closes, I want:

1 set cherry stabalizers
1 set costar stabalizers
180 clears
15 mx DarkGrey
10 mx White

A bit noobish and awkward question but how hard would it be to move everything (by everything I mean pcb with switches and all the other stuff) from plu case to other case?
Thanks in adcance!

If you know how to solder, not too hard at all. If not, you may have some difficulties.

I just noticed that you're also offering white switches. Are these 55cN or the 80cN? I'd guess the later since those are "modern".

EDIT - Also just realized, the plates aren't going to support a short right shift + extra key are they? :(  Without it I can't get the right part of the keyboard to be:
Code: [Select]
7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3
0   .
with a fn layer for the normal keys that go there.

I just read that the dark grey (linear) is used as the SB for MX Blacks and that the regular grey (tactile) is used for the SB on Clears.  Being that you're not offering blacks currently, can you swap out dark grey for grey, or just add grey as an option?

Dark Grey: http://deskthority.net/wiki/Cherry_MX_Dark_Grey

I do realize that you may not be able to get them, just a humble request.

thanks prof.

Hi Prof,

Just looking through the form, I'm semi-clueless as to what many of the options actually are.
If I tell you what I'm after, then perhaps you can tell me what options I should go for?

Just a plain phantom with MX clears, perhaps MX black on the space and all put together, thats about it.

Just a few questions
1. Not really wanting a PLU87 case, there are a few on the drawing board might wait for one of those.
2. and I've got no idea regarding
2a. resistor swaps
2b. lubed switches
2c. stabiliser mods

Id be getting a plate so i'd need the plate mounted stabilisers?

If you can give me a clue what is involved in a normal assembly (minus the case i guess for now) that would be amazing

Thanks again.

This might also be useful for others that are as clueless as me.

select basica assembly then and you probably dont want a black spring for the spacebar with clears as black is actually lighter

1. yo udont need to order a case but you will have to order a plate if you want me to assemble it for you.

2. what are yo uasking?

2a. thats if you want different caps and scroll lock leds

2b. its as it sounds I crack open every switch and lube them the by one with krytox 205\

2c. basically makes a cherry stabilizer feel closer to a costar

yes you will need plat mount stabilizers as that is all the phantom supports

hopefully this helps if you have any more questions please ask

TP, are those the only plates officially? I ordered the ANSI150  but was hoping for something like this but with standard FN row.

I'm going for a black case with lubed red switches costar stabilizers and the same layout as my filco TKL.

Some questions before I fill out the form.

1.  About the plates.  I already ordered 2 of WFD's universal plates (1 to go in this and one for my filco) and he is doing my assembly so I should already be good and not need any of the other plates right?

2. If I order the black PLU 87 with Red Switches that covers the case and switches then I just need to order a few extra red switches in case they are bad.
(I will also be ordering some clear switches to go in my GH60-how many of those will I need?).

3. No purple or white LEDs?

that means you only want the stem/spring swap assembly too correct? not the basic assembly in addition?
