*snip*

I actually had the same problem on my Poker X. I just put the spacebar on lightly so it wasn't an issue anymore.

I tried the same to be able to use it, but it still bugs me, and I have to carry a keypuller with my Poker II whenever I take it away. It's not really a solution, and if it's not an overall problem, then I would assume I have a faulty spacebar. But I'll have to wait for others to be able to confirm or disprove that.

Did you try lubing the stabilizers?  I got a spacebar from IMSTO a long time ago, but I am pretty sure it is from the same mold.  I lubed my stabilizers and it made things much smoother...

I have bought a set of Blanks and want to put it on an ISO keyboard, so I'd need some additional keys.

If anyone (preferably from Europe) has ordered a blank set and doesn't need the numpad (if you use it on a TKL for example) and wants to sell it to me, please send me a PM!

Thanks!

I also had some issues with the spacebar sticking with cherry stabilizers. I had been running a different imsto thick pbt spacebar with no problems (I think that's where it came from, I got it secondhand) and the spacebar from this buy is slightly shorter by maybe a millimeter. I have been dealing with it and it seems to have broken in a bit, but it still sticks from time to time. Putting it on part of the way was helpful, but not perfect. Other than that, I've been enjoying this set!

Got mine today! I got one of every cherry novelty cap. They look great, minus one thing. Two are black on white, one black on grey. Is this just how the two grey variants turned out? Or perhaps I got some sort of mix up?

In real life the contrast is not as hard as it seems here but I am always shooting pictures under bad light.

Strangely enough, this is the straightest PBT spacebar I own. It feels more like it's way too tight, but lube didn't help. The holes are the right size, so the only idea I have left is that they are few tenth of millimetres off, but I don't have anything precise enough to measure that.

Update: the distance between the two side stems is  about 1 mm shorter than of a spacebar that fits perfectly on my Poker II, and the spacebar itself is about 1 mm shorter as well. I don't think it's standard size, and am pretty sure that is what's causing the problem. Any ideas what could be done about it?

Honestly, it is not as dark as blue on GMK Classic Beige (Blue legends).
But it's a bit darker actually.
The blue on the picture is lighter due to the flash of the camera.

So, with the thread marked "(complete)", will there now be any resolution to the fulltouch caps lock issue?

A couple of people have suggested going through with an IC for that key/mold group in the correct color, despite such a high MOQ. The idea is that some would be in for multiple, just to try to meet get there more easily. I would be in for multiple too.

As expressed before in this thread, I strongly support getting replacements for the caps lock keys in the correct color. Right now I don't use my sets because this inconsistency is bothering me more than it should.

I would buy at least twice as much as I need, to get my sets right ;)

Hell, I'd even prefer a bunge of blank ones in the correct color over the current keys.

Now that imsto has a web store selling directly to the US, I'm very incline to get one of his thick PBT set since I missed this GB.

I read the whole thread but I'm still unsure what the complaint is about.

Is there a picture somewhere depicting the issue?

I assume that imsto is selling the left over on his website. If I understand correctly what the issue is, I want to confirm with him before buying.

Thanks

The issue is that the images show the non-stepped caps lock key is grey, and is expected to be. However all sets shipper had white non-stepped caps lock keys.

You can see the issue on all the pics in this thread. The capslock key is white although it should be grey. It's not the end of the world, but many people including me dislike those inconsistencies.

It has to be mentioned that the stepped capslock key is grey and could be modded to fit on standard keyboards.

Thanks. IIRC imsto did sell the 2 tone set before. So this problem is specific to the latest run I guess. His web store only uses stock photos so I guess I can't tell for sure. I'll ask him to be sure (although he's not very responsive with PM/email and communication isn't very clear because of the language barrier)

Now that you guys mention it, I see it now. Originally I thought the complaint is regarding a lighter shade of gray color as I saw in this pic

The stepped caplock wouldn't be a good solution as some people like me map it as control and it's not as easy to hit as the normal caplock key.

It kinda irked me, so I found another Caps Lock I had lying around, but the colour didn't quite match.

Since then I've been able to find a centre-stemmed stepped caps lock in what I hope is going to be a close match.

Waiting for it to arrive ...

Besides, who uses Caps Lock these days anyway? ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
