Possibility of replacing switches of an RBG keyboard?
« on: Fri, 20 November 2015, 19:42:36 »
Would it be possible to replace the switches on the Corsair K70, or in my case the K65, with other switches such as Ergo Clears? Would I need to sacrifice lighting or can I mod it well enough to keep the leds? The K65 only comes in MX Red.

You can. You will need to desolder the stock switches and replace the stem/spring for the clear switch stem, keeping the original housing.

Cherry RGB keyboards have SMD leds soldered on the PCB, so you can desolder the switch without desoldering the leds.
