BTW , this Dolphin need a very hard machining process because of the curves , that's more curves than Dolphin v2 as well ( Dolphin v2 retail price is 450$ without PCB ) . Linn also change to a better material so price is higher . I don't think  Diodes and SMD would be a serious thing. That's not cost much when you guys can spend around 600$ for 1 board  .

4-6 weeks was unfortunately our initial (very hopeful) timeline. The realistic timeline after talking with factory, acquiring pcbs, etc. (which is included in the forms that will be sent to winners HOPEFULLY tonight if not tomorrow) estimates ~14-16 weeks for production and ~2 weeks to ship.

It seems like a lot of people in the community get different top, and bottom case colors.  Originally, I was thinking about silver top, and silver bottom.  Is there a risk of color mismatch?  Part of me also wants to have a completely red dolphin.  How long do we have to decide on our order forms?   I'm probably spend days researching color combos.

I also noticed that there is no option for a steel plate.  Was Lyn's design philosophy for Dolphin only ever intended for tactile switches?

Yes, a surprise Red color eh? :) You have up until the payment date (03/17) to decide the color. After that date, options are locked in.

The tag is Champage Gold only , unless you choose champage gold top , you will get silver tag

Please refer to the imgur album on the first page (pictures of previous dolphins). We have no color samples afaik. I will check with Lin to see if he got any samples in.

I think im going to go with a gray top, silver bottom, and red plate like in this pic. I plan on putting GMK Muted on this board when ever it comes. I'd image it will look exactly like this lol. Although the red option did derail me a bit.

I've been googling color combinations all morning.  I already have a LZ CLS on order that is all grey so I thought I would do something for the Dolphin.

These are some combinations that I'm thinking of.  I'm also going to choose Winkey.
+Silver/Silver hopefully with a silver tag.  Maybe a red enamel fill on the lettering?  Not sure how feasible that would be.
+Red/Red with a gold tag, and white coloring on the lettering.
+Red top/Silver Base/Silver plate

I think it would be pretty neutral. I was thinking about doing a red bottom and silver top with GMK Burgundy as well. I dont know how well it would work if I choose to put any of my other keysets on it though.

edit: Ya those additional pics are a little odd. That keyset doesnt look good with that combo. Perhaps its the red plate. Maybe I should just go with a silver plate instead haha.

I think it is, every pic I've seen of gold on dolphin is this color.
