Ran a new Arch/Plasma install on the laptop over the weekend and liked it so much I switched my desktop PC back to plasma. Fantastic A2DP support.

Don't mind the 1600x900; that'll change.

I've got a 28inch and a 32 right next to each other, and the 32 is 4K, and the 28 is 1920x1200. So this is the result.

It looks quite a bit better in person.

The wallpaper on the left is Bitday, it was a small thing that got kinda big on Reddit almost a decade ago, a cool wallpaper that changed with the time of day, it was re-implemented in Wallpaper engine and has been my goto for years.
It does change with the time of day.

I also just love Zenyatta.

Just using Rain Meter, thanks. So far it has been good, and of course has occasional bugs due to some w10 updates (weather has been borked so I can't use it at the moment till I can figure out a fix for it).

Ahh, thanks! I'd heard of Rain Meter, but never checked it out. May need to give it a shot now.

(I'm on Win 8.1 over here, hoping that'll mean it's a bit more stable)

I recently changed all my coloring to Solarized. It is not the sexiest but it is well suited for work. Here I have a "Language edition" of my desktop
where both the web browser (qutebrowser) and the pdf reader (zathura) is in Solarized theme, together with the terminal (st).

I used rain meter for a short period ~8 years ago. I remember it being a resource hog. Has that changed any?

SO far I haven't noticed it really hogging resources, but my rig is running on a Intel x99 HEDT platform and not standard mainstream. I've bounced around from using it to not over the years - just this time I found a setup I like and can work with. I do hope they continue to update its core as it does need some tweaking still for refinement reasons.

I use a stock wallpaper engine background for my computer because it's really cool and it easily scales with the monitors. It's a lot harder to find something for three monitors than I imagined, especially with how frequently I see computer nerds use them.

It moves! Kinda neat.
