Vibram Five Fingers?

Barefoot shoes can feel great, especially once you get used to walking more on the front of your foot instead of landing on your heels.
Also, not really recommended when carrying a heavy backpack.

My toes are weird, so I never properly fitted the Vibrams.
But Merrell's barefoot collection feels pretty good.

Well, Vibram is an Italian company. Besides most U.S. based companies manage to rape the European sizes as well.
Especially Salomon and The North Face. As a size 46 EU, 11 UK, 12 US. That often turns into a 48,5. That's 2,5 sizes difference.

What kinds, colours, etc. of summer-ish shoes look fine (or even better) if they get dusty?  This summer I'm going somewhere where all the roads are dirt and they kick up all kinds of whitish dust.  Last year when I went, my sneakers ended up covered in dust, and they looked weird.

White sneakers definitely look best when dirty. I have to dirty up my white sneakers before I feel comfortable wearing them in public.

That's funny I've always considered super clean white sneakers as juvenile. To each their own I suppose.

Never owned a pair but I've looked at them. They are pretty tacky tbh. Kinda like the same vein as creative recreations.

Some more white sneakers. Clean this time:

any recommendations for understated low profile black sneakers with a bigger toe box? Im starting to get an ingrown toenail and i think i'm early enough to head it off without needing to get it cut up but i also pretty much only wear all-black vans slipons and they just make it worse.

YOU ARE RIGHT IN THE PLACE MADAM
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
