That's a nice longwing, seems like it has been polished well too!
Good to hear. I wasn't sure if I'd polished them very well or not :))

What do you use for polishing if I may ask?

Just some Kiwi brown polish, a few old rags and an old shoe brush.

Although I agree mostly, I find them impressive because of the lengths people have to go to so that they can get some. Likewise with most jordans/basketball shoes - I just don't think they look that good, but if I see someone wearing them I'll still have a look.

I've got to say though, I do really like the 350 boost. The combination of primeknit and boost will have me interested every time.

Yeah the rubbing is on the back of the ankle though above the bally bit if that makes sense
rubbing on the top of the toes as well  :'(

Back of the ankle is caused by friction on the elastic bit? I've had three pairs of RMs and have never had that one... maybe a local cobbler would have a fix though given how many people wear RMs there.

Top of the toes is a completely weird one too!

That is a beautiful boots!
And nice patina finish, ok this is where people usually get it wrong
not all type of shoes would suit your feet, it really depends on the shape of your feet (it gets really hard especially if you have a flat feet like I do)

but if it's the heel and toes you're complaining , than it's the width of the shoes which is the issue
and it's a common issue with boots, get it to an expert shoe shop but it's best if you take it to the shop which carries the brand
They can basically expand it for you with their tools but it still hurts that means it's just the wrong size/width unfortunately

or

if this is your first boots and in regards to the shape of your feet, you might have a high heel feet which does not suit boots use
a derby would be your best bet or get a custom made one if you really want a boots (or get a button boots like this http://www.jfitzpatrickfootwear.com/collections/button-boots)

anyway just polished my derby :p before-after

Thanks for the tip - I've worn quite a few boots before, I think the culprit is I bought them in Japan and maybe the shoes are a bit narrower there

Hey look, a post about sneakers that's relevant to keyboards. Sometimes I watch this kid retrosnickers restore sneakers. It's kinda weird but I like seeing the DIY stuff. Anyways, he uses this "sole sauce" to turn yellowed soles clear.

Guess what? I think it's related to retr0bright.

Wonder if you could use sole sauce to de-yellow a case...anyways, retrobright: good for sneakers and for keyboards apparently.

I gotta get me some Adidas GSG9s. Apparently they are comfy as ****, and I really would like some new boots.

I should post my Lowas. They are easily the hardest wearing, comfiest pair of boots I have ever worn.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Adidas makes boots? I need to check that out. Boots are great. I want another pair, without steel toes, as winter time swag.

In other news, this video is mesmerizing. I could watch it all day.

Yeah. They do two types, low ankle, and high ankle ones. Both are pretty much trainers

I was curious about shoe trees, are they custom for each shoe though? I had seen some others for some G&G's but they looked really form fitted for that particular pair. Definitely going to check out that link though.

Just buy 1/2 size bigger for your shoe tree
lets say you wear 41 , get one for size 42
or if you wear 8, get one in 8.5 :)

Shoe tree for me is the magic of shoe world, it really makes the difference, all my bespokes have shoe trees in it

Yeah I'm talking about the quality as well, there are some that just don't look like they would fit the shape of this shoe.

A pair of Aigle boots (sorry I can't remember the model). I've replaced the black laces with a pair of two tones ones (yellow and brown).

I'd love a pair of those hand made artisant shoes (chestnut wood soles, irons, bi-color leather) ... 300 euros glups.
