good bye sweet prince

Do that thing where you put 'em on and jump until the soles are thrashed. Might as well have fun with em with that midsole cracking.

Have these been worn or is that just the plastic giving up the funk?

Age. They're 17 years old now.

Is there a difference between "****boy" and "fuccboi"? I'm thinking they mean something different.

Also, nice shoes. Really like the blue on them.

Can we talk about the Vans x Nintendo collab dropping Friday? I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up with the Duck Hunt Old Skools but this entire drop is flames.

This paired with the Game Over sweater?

My bred 4's midsoles started cracking (even more so on the right side).  Any place that can fix it?  Too lazy to do it myself.  :)

So.... merlot colors of several Allan Edmonds shoes are on sale.  Almost tempting but the monk straps aren't on the list.  I'd have looked to get those given their $245 right now.  Still tempting to get some Park Aves but I'd rather get a pair of Paul Evans wholecuts or save up for the Vass wholecuts ($800-900 or so though, sadly).

I love Allen Edmonds for the most part (depending on the lasts obviously) but found most of their monk straps were based on the 201 which they touted as having a higher instep yet it wasn't enough for my oddly shaped feet and the tongues came up too far.

Best purchase ever was a pair of Gobi Chukkas for $80 during their tent sale last year.

Yeah, been contemplating what to do for my next pair of shoes for a bit.  I've found that I keep my AE Park Aves untied since I generally slip them off while at my desk.  I think I might just go with more monk strap shoes though debating makers.  Cobbler's Union has them in a nice burgundy which is tempting but I wouldn't mind picking up a bit nicer pair for the burgs and get a less expensive pair in navy or some kind of blue.

Still wouldn't mind a pair of monk chukkas in blue leather at some point.  Possibly Enzo Bonafe as he's got a fantastic blue and not an insane price.

Only thing in Nikeland that even comes close to Ultra Boost and boost tech is Lunarlon imo. And it's still not good. All hail boost.

No idea mate as I don't own any pair of Roshe's but I'd say these are very comfy.
Meant to be use as running shoe but it's more of a lifestyle pair now so it's good for almost daily wear. :D

Interesting - had no idea! Might have to grab these shoes. Stand for 80% of the day so I'd love a pair like that

Are you in the States? It's way easier to get them either in-stores or online as adidas and other retailers are constantly restocking them compared to the UK/EU region.
I'd say they are nice but some people might be put off by the $180/£120 pricetag. Fortunately, I was able to use a discount here in the UK.
If you're okay by all means, I would suggest you to go for it. Try them on if it's possible though. It tends to be a little snug depending on how wide your feet is.

Reading on them and noting a lot of comments that the fit is rather narrow.  Adidas makes some great lifting shoes in the AdiPower Weightlifter shoes but neither my wife or I have been particularly impressed with their casual or running shoes.  I think I'll stick with my Sauconys and Ascics for running shoes.  That or maybe try some Hokas.  Tried one pair on and they were rather comfortable.

Hmm, yeah they tend to run a bit snug on the first few wears but after it breaks in, it's really comfy.
Maybe it's the materials they used? I'm not too sure. The primeknit material they used is really soft though.
I can agree with you on Asics, I love them very much too :D

OK, do I get a set of the Kobe Mentality 2s, or still go for the XI Elites in grey/orange...

Not for basketball purposes but just... wearing.

I really like the XI Elites but they are getting harder to find. I also have to wait two weeks to get a pair and I run the risk of them going out of stock :'(
