For a reason unknown to me, this photo has a lot of likes on my deprived Instagram account.

Had fun at the Nordstrom sale.  Picked up a pair of Allen Edmonds walnut Carlyles.  I'll need to exchange though as the stitching on the bottom of the shoe goes outside the stitch groove for a few stitches.  Not quite ideal for leather sole bottoms.  Hopefully they've still got my size in stock.

Also, tried on a pair of Y-3 Qasa High shoes.  Egads they're not comfortable.  The kids got a good "wtf" type laugh out of them, though.

I feel bad that my gel lytes seem to just sit in their boxes nowadays. I just really never feel like they look the best with what I wear. Getting a helluva lot of use out of my vans and adidas though.

The Puma/Adidas feud is the kind of feud films are made about. It's actually really interesting when you read about it.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I mean in addition to the normal mall stuff (Footlocker, Champs Sports, Finish Line etc) Cincinnati has a local chain that has the normal Nike stuff called City Gear. And two boutiques, Corporate and Unheardof. Unheardof just merged with a local skateshop so they got like new Nike SB if you're into it. Corporate got lots of cool stuff; Diadoras, Nike, Adidas, Puma, asics, etc as well as a decent apparel selection. Got two good skateshops that carry skate gear in Blacklist and Galaxie. So we're pretty lucky in the selection we get here.

I was a sneaker head before I was a keyboard nerd. Easily had a couple of Gs in shoes.

i never got to try the original huaraches before. although, it does feel comfortable. the soles are soft but not as bouncy as adidas boosts. maybe the original was better, but unfortunately, i don't have a way to compare. sad to admit, it's more comfortable than pumas.

Yeah, not sure how I'd wear those shoes or with what.  Honestly they'd likely only get use with jeans, somewhat eliminating the necessity of them being high tops in the first place.

You can wear it with jeans but have to do the magical pinrolling

Also it also work great with a good jogger pants

If I'm pinrolling, I might as well shorts.

Rolling pants is what we did as kids when skateboarding in the 80s.  If you're skating, you're not wearing those shoes.  If you're not skating, you have no reason to be pinrolling your pants.

I suppose some could do it with jogger pants.  I don't think I'd ever be found in public wearing them when not jogging, though, as I don't live in Russia.  In the end, I really just don't have any situation where I'd want to wear those shoes.

Well that's new for me, everytime I wore my sneakers I always pinrolled my jeans

This is how I usually pinrolled it, IMO it gives a clean look to the sneakers and make it pop

If you're not skating, you have no reason to be pinrolling your pants.

Unless you don't want indigo rubbing off on your shoes

Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Still looks dorky coming from a guy that did this in the 80s.  It was a fashion trend I was happy to watch die out as people moved toward getting their pants tapered if they needed such a thing.

If you're not skating, you have no reason to be pinrolling your pants.

Why would that even be a concern?
