Are there any versions of the nmds that have the cell foam covered?

everytime i see it, I think back to dioramas and how cheap the foam felt ><'

Yeah the sock top doesn't do it for me.
It's not as subtle looking as NMD's PK and overall I prefer the caged UB's.
Just my preference heh.

Honestly, that shoe's eerily similar to the carpet at work.  The shoes are less geometric but almost identical colors.  I had a bit of a laugh at it.

There is some issue with the integrity of the Boost when they cover or paint it all the way. There's a video of an Adidas engineer describing the way Boost works and he kind of says why and that they are working on it. But that's why they don't color the boost all the way with the solar red or triple black, it's just the side-sole and when you flip the shoe the boost on the bottom and inside are still white. It does look like packing foam though )

I guess Yeezys would be the only option if you don't wanna see that foam pattern but they're expensive on the resell market and hard to get when they come out. But I think they're ugly and I'd rather just rock the popcorn styrofoam look.

personally i think they look a lot better without socks since they are like socks themselves.  i wear some no show socks.

anyway, after a trip to one of the sneaker shops, i was able to get  a pair this afternoon.
not really the color i wanted and it's a half size bigger but it's still nice.

That looks like the JD exclusive isn't it?
Those actually looks so much better than the other releases that came together.
The other pair I would say that looks good is the Olive one from Footlocker EU. Those are pretty nice too.

cool, how do you like the perforated material?  they look quite different than the usual nmd mesh styles.

runners and socks in wool pk this friday!  at least for the US.  i'm going to see if i can grab a pair of the runners since they look quite nice.

unfortunately i don't think adidas.com US ever does restocks of NMDs like europe does.  so it's just the online shops which are really difficult to score because of reseller bots, or camping out at local shops which i don't have time to do.  but it's okay, new colors are always getting released.  i'm hoping for the black wool pk which should release in a few hours from now.

Many people disliked the boxes on the sides of the boost, so Adidas half listened and just moved it into the inside.

The laces seem to serve little function now and are mostly aesthetic. The 3 stripes look like electrical tape and the pattern looks like your foot's covered in caterpillars.

Such seemingly minor changes took a beautiful design and made it hideous. IMO

I do wish the NMD had a built-in tongue (attached to the top of the shoe and not separate,) I feel like that would add some dynamic to it's overall design.

I think they are pretty meh to be honest, the blocks was a big part of what in my opinion made them unique and stand out the most. also the pattern on that one along with how part of the pattern is different thickness looks so bad rofl...

And I got **** for posting some rock climbing shoes?  The shoe is probably comfortable but that particular  pattern and hideous pinkish box on it make it stand out as something pulled out the garbage from designs of decades past.

the gray and blue were online (jdsports uk).
the other 2 were in store/locally, but only because these were 'leftovers' and i had to be a VIP member on that shop (by accumulating purchases to a certain amount in 6 months). VIP members are able to access these limited stock shoes and purchase them. but you'd have to be lucky to have the size you want.

otherwise, when they launch locally, most of the shops announce and customers have to queue on the day of the release. no overnight queuing is allowed as well. but the shop that i normally go to would allow online reservation (again only for the VIP members). after i got my membership though, there hasn't been an nmd release, so i have yet to try that benefit.
