Heya
« on: Wed, 31 August 2022, 22:56:43 »
Quick intro: I've followed the world of mechanical keyboards at a safe distance for a handful of years now, but only recently took the plunge myself. I only recently picked up a very cheap Royal Kludge RK84 for $40 so that I can tinker, tweak, mod, eff up, and otherwise learn before diving in any further.

Since getting the Royal Kludge last month, I have:
1) upgraded my switches to milky yellows and my keycaps to a set of MA-profile doubleshot PBTs
2) experimented with tape modding, plate foam, PE foam, o-rings, and case dampening
3) spray painted the top case and added touches of electrical tape along the inside of the top case to better secure it to the rest of the case
4) ordered a set of Boba U4Ts to play with

Yes, this poor keyboard has been tweaked to hell and stretched well beyond its modest price-point. But at this point, I'm not sure what I like or what I'm aiming for in a build, so I'm just playing and experimenting and learning the ropes. And having a ton of fun. So, hello!
