I have a model m PC122 from unicomp. Its one of the newer ones with the Raspberry Pi Pico and Aristides controller. I want to build a braided usb cord for the keyboard, but am a little confused with one part of the wiring. The usb runs from the controller into the keyboard and then the red, green, black, and white wires go into a four pin connector for the controller. But there is also a ground connected to the internal metal plate which runs into the usb wire in addition to the standard usb ground which comes out and goes into the controller. When building a new cord, do I have to connect these grounds for the usb male.
