It isn't elegant but it will give everyone equal chance per cap. What I'm curious is what happens to the super lucky person that wins 4 or more drawings? Could someone potentially get 8 keys or are they additionally going to limit to only 3 like previous sales? There is a laughable lack of information on how this is supposed to work.

im still not really sure why people think they are obligated to provide answers to such questions. they're click clacks. what possible reason could they have to discriminate? if you win you win, just be happy with that. if you don't it's REALLY not likely that you're being personally slighted...

Still confused about the rule. Can I submit one drawing for several clacks? Or just one drawing for one clack?

It seems like each one is it's own drawing since it shows the inventory # on the entry page

I read each drawing as separate.

"This drawing is for one of several Clack Factory model xx-xx-xx keycaps." and "1. One drawing entry per person."

Each keycap has a separate draw.  As I understand it.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

One entry per CC is the way I read it. And it seems that if someone tries to game the system they will boot them.

i would say EK would do something about that but......

like the last time "only 1 per style or else we cancel your order" nothing came of it. couple people i know that ordered more than they should have still received their order (of the limit, not of what they ordered). although one said it was a mistake and i believe him.

why would you register for something you dont want, that is a major **** move that shows that all you're interested in doing is flipping keys.

i realize i might come across as caustic toward you specifically -- please keep in mind you have similar questions/concerns regarding these matters as a lot of other members and i am just replying when i see them.

I'm in two minds to register for Topre aas well as MX.  I'm thinking that if I get MX - great.  But if I get Topre maybe I can trade with someone who got MX but wanted Topre.

Either way I don't think I'd sell them, MX or Topre.

It doesn't have to even be associated with flipping keys.

If all I want is the Oktoberfest key in MX and I don't win it, and didn't enter into the raffle for other keys then I get nothing. However if I win the topre version then I can potentially trade for the MX version. Or any other key could potentially be traded for the one key that I want.

If I personally win a key that I don't want I will sell it at cost to someone that has never had a CC, and obviously currently does not have one. I think there are PLENTY of people who meet this category. It took me about six months after joining geekhack to get my first CC, and it was because someone decided to sell me one almost at cost because I didn't have one, so least I can do is pay that mentality forward. I acquired my second CC due to a very kind trade and only have two keys still.

Yes because you can't stop everyone from doing it as well. You know people who only want topre will also be trying for the MX keys just in case. I feel like trading is encouraged with CCs so I don't understand why this is a problem. I guess it is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario.

i sure as hell am not doing that because i'd rather somebody who actually WANTS an MX key gets one without having to pay double shipping just to trade with someone else.
