Does the SpaceHomeboy set have a specific use in mind? Don't think I've ever seen a set with those collection of keys.
Enter SpaceHomeboy is white on orange. I just thought it would be neat to have something a little different for a splash of color. Would probably look best paired up with Dolch, Skidata or the darkgrey set in my other GMK buy if it gets to production.

I know these are mini packs and keeping the cost down is key (heh) here, but would including an additional 2.25 shift in the modifier retro pack be plausible?
I think the FC660M uses a 2.25 for the right shift and this set would include everything apart from the spacebar to get some nice modifiers on it. I don't even own the board but I want one and the thought of buying 2 mod packs just for an additional shift keeps me awake at night :p

Would be nice to order for Dolch but with white text on the orange keys it won't match well with black text on Dolch ones.
I won't be adding or changing any keys in the packs. I want to keep it light and to the essentials to keep the price as low as we can.

Of course if GMK gave you a very skewed distribution, there isn't much you can do about it.

Yeah 200 on any other GB would be seen as a big success but a fail on a GMK buy...

I think maybe massdrop could help for full set... but these little things like this are too specialized and require you to already have other Cherry/GMK sets more or less. I don't know if people outside of keyboard enthusiast would 'get it'.
I accept the home/enter/space pack is a bit strange and might not have a big appeal, but I am very surprised there is so few orders on the Retro mods pack. I would have though people would be all over that to use with existing black on white sets and they are something different that has not really been done like that since mid 1980's.
It certainly does look like deadline extension will be a must for any hope. I also need to get some pictures of the actual keys colors up since I am sure that will help.
Could be any of 23 stock colors, or any left over of other customer special order colors. Nothing has reached MOQ yet so I guess I will see what another month gets us to.
Eraser pink and cyan are possibilities. Hopefully I can get my hands on a digital camera to do some pictures of my sample ring to post up in here soon.

No things must meet MOQ to be made. No exception will be given. I've noticed many people have been dropping other things but adding more spacebar. We've actually gone backwards in reaching MOQ now from this by 20-50 units for each.
I really thought more people would wanted black on white modifiers to adapt vintage set to modern boards. What's keeping it back? Colors, legend style?
I guess I figured more people would think it was cool to have set that make look like first MX G80 model with black on white mods and black on yellow functions since it's MX 30th anniversary in 2014.
I can't speak for everyone, but it's colors for me. Not a huge fan of the classic beige with RGB legends. I prefer modifiers to not be the same colors as the legends for light sets.

But given the high popularity of the purple modifier kits, it's safer to go with colors that can match many sets rather than just one type of set (classic white/beige). Like if you had picked an unusual color as the color for the modifier pack (go team teal/turquoise!): they could go with many of the existing GMK/Cherry sets/IMSTO PBT sets.

Really, GMK needs to offer more colors--those are pretty limiting (like no navy, for example).

Just trying to get more consensus to make the order work to the MOQ. It's really tough to get enough people together on colorways and options vs. cost limits to get there. We need to make it work, or all we are doing is wasting lot of time talking about things that won't ever get made.

I was debating the yellow Fn pack, but ended up getting one.
The orange modifiers was tempting, but after seeing the sample the idea grew on me and I added a set to my order.
The space bars - can't really resist. I am curious what colours I will end up with.

I feel similar, but after kind of shrugging off the Purple Mods last time (who wants purple, amirite?) and then falling in love with them after I actually got them in hand, I've decided to just buy anything GMK sight unseen, particularly these mini pack sort of things. But hey, that's just me. :)

Right you get one of each size so with order 5 you will get 5 6.25 and 5 7x total 10 spacebars. Color will be random any, I will just take them out of box and place in your order package. You could end up with 10 different colors or many of same.:thumb:
Sets would come as shown. If I knew it wouldn't make me crazy I would allow substitutions, but I think it would make the packing job 1000% more difficult if I have to keep track of a bunch of special requests. Those sort of things best to just trade amongst yourselves.

I'm probably the last person that should be commenting because I've never been a huge CMY fan but I do think they would look a little bit better if they had white legends.
Esc pack is CMY colors... I don't know how people don't want like 37 of them. Best color combos ever.
Each key comes in it's own big sack, then I have to put them together in their intended packs. If every pack is the same it makes it a lot easier, since I then take a complete sorted pack and place it in the order.
I strongly doubt you would have much trouble trading fulltouch for stepped caps lock. I'm fairly certain more people really use fulltouch.

Sometimes I wonder whether having longer ordering times actually helps or hurts the GB. So many people seem to think that it's a good idea to leave their order till the last minute, makes gauging interest impossible.

For me to do the CODE keys, lets say if at least 2 of the doubleshots pack makes it I will still do them. Spacebar only, I will not.
Well if things make it you will get FREE with each order CODE key, since most people order multiple and there will be less than 400 unique order probably many people would get more than one CODE keys for FREE. Would you really rather me bundle it in so you have to PAY for it?
There will be small black blank add on pack with windowed caps locks, 1.5 mods, 7x space, 1.75 shift, ISO enter, and 6x top row windowed key to go along with the black PBTs made available for ordering soon once I get the pricing.

There are various intricacies to make that happen, including various checks to not spam your e-mail account with random group buys from anyone who posts in the group buys section. And beyond that, I feel like this is a community for keyboard discussion--not an on-line store or massdrop to send out newsletters. If you participate in the community and want GMK keycaps, you'd probably be checking the Group Buys section and Classifieds periodically anyway.
I need another 7x spacebar to complete a board. Hopefully the deadline for the spacebar run is soon :P

Maybe they will cut some slack on the Esc if it can get to 300. It's not that far from it now... since we might break 600 tier on spacebars :)) I would try really hard to cut a deal.

I would probably take one from each color bag until the quantity you ordered was hit and that color ran out... it still depend a lot on the ratio of a certain color that received... which I have not control over. This is why I can't make any promise to how varied your particular order will be... GMK could send 50% order of same color... some orders will have to be less varied. Or they could send a perfect ratio of every color available... I have no idea! You just have to roll the dice.

My guess is the same as rowdy's. Unless they actually produce some more uncommon colors specifically for this group buy, I don't see them offering anything unusual, like eraser pink spacebars. Unless you ask for 400 spacebars in 6.25x to be eraser pink, and 400 of the 7x ones to be, say, cyan, and then the rest of the orders of whatever they want, the latter would likely be some split of cream and black. I mean it's nice to imagine that it's possible to get a rainbow of their stock colors in a nice proportion, but it seems very unlikely.
I like the idea of using left-over plastic from other parts of this group buy for spacebars (like from the Esc. pack). Not sure if they'd consider it.
Sure there may be a higher ratio of standard color like one of the shades of 'white'... but much of my agreement seemed to be based around the idea of them being able to get rid of small amounts of odd color stocks they have laying about in exchange for having a color mix. In other words a favor for a favor arrangement that is mutually beneficial.
As I said in a previous post, I also already made the suggestion to them of letting CMY Esc keys ride with spacebars in an effort to get those made as well since I suspect it should be technically convenient. I'm still waiting to hear back on if they will bite on that idea.

I've made some assumptions based off your clues and a lot of maths. Can you look below and confirm or deny?
- There are 6 colors in the code (going off your "4 rows have 1 color, 1 has 2, 1 has none. 2 columns have 2 colors, 2 have 1" comment). 7 colors total but one is unknown so we'll ignore that.
- One of them has 6 characters in it's original color code and 5 of them have 2 characters in the original color codes (ie. XXXXXX; XX; XX; XX; XX; XX). This took a bit of maths, I'll explain how I got there if I'm right. If I'm wrong then I'm officially tapped out for ideas.
If you need it I'll pick up another esc pack or two - are there many unpaid?

I don't develop my own film even though I do know how to. I get mine done at the grocery store... they still have a machine and it's super cheap. Typically I only pay to have the negative processed, and then deal with scanning film or making prints later.
There is usually at least somewhere that still processes film in each city, just have to find them. There are always places you can mail it to as well... many places that claim to process film do that anyway.
I'll see if I can get a picture of the keys a bit later on.

The colors are just off in the photo... or it's like an optical trick, the cyan esc key does have a magenta legend not purple like it appears. I just put one of each key color for the photo. I was too expecting the all caps legend CODE key like on the TA typewriters... I have no clue where this other one came from but it's fine. The Code key should match with Dolch modifier.
For those that ordered multiple spacebar, I will try to mix it up but there is no promise.

Oh thats a bummer about the CODE key, why wasn't it in green like the picture? I bought additional Esc packs just for the code keys :/I like the upper-case centered white letters on green much more than this variant as well..
I will gladly take any Code keys from those who are "disappointed".
It's a nice little extra that I'm greatful for. I bought more than one Esc pack not because I wanted more Code keys, but because I wanted us to hit the MOQ. I signed up for multiples of the other sets that didn't make it in the hopes that they would as well. Be happy for what you're getting.
I think this is crazy exciting and love seeing more-and-more coming from GMK. We're slowly building credibility with them as a reliable source for special order. That's mostly because of Ivan and all his hard work putting these group buys together.

I sent GMK the picture of the CODE key that is in the OP when I asked if they had it... so I am confused myself but it's OK. In the future if it is to be included in something or offered alone again I can make sure we get that one with all caps specifically.
It all depends if GMK actually have the original style tooling - if not then what Ivan is giving us for free is as good as it gets :)

The original code keycaps are quite old - like late 80's old - they've been out of production for a long time. So yeah, GMK may not have the original tooling for upper-case code keycaps caps.
Sorry for the delay getting orders mailed. I have only gotten Austrian, most of Australian orders finished then my printer decided it no longer wants to function at all. :(

What color code is the ''white''? Matching the Classic G80-1800 cream or some other color, like cream-gray?
Should wait until we have the spacebars and know what we got first, I think.
The 'white' colors are 3K 6.25 and 5T for 7. It's more close to WEY or 1501 mono.
I also have received my new toner cartridge so I will start cranking through some more orders today.

Top right is caps from a Round 3 gamer set. Orange spacebar is from this sale. Tab key is just there for reference. Paper should be white. Tab and paper are there for reference.

If anyone here could do me a small favour id be super greatful, anyone here have the Miami set and a teal spacebar? I just got my order to find the colours of the esc keys don't really match the Miami set and was just wondering how the teal spacebar looked with a Miami set!
