Here are some ideas I've been brewing while waiting on the TA sets...

These would all be GMK w/ custom colors, exact layout TBD but not as exotic as the TA set. Obviously nothing is completely original these days, but I'm trying to offer some fresh ideas that haven't been done before...

Mods can we make a poll?

Definitely a fan of Arabian Nights, but why don't we trying something that isn't just different base and/or legend colours on alphas and mods? For example, Skull Squadron has the F-row 1 colour, Num Row another and the rest another colour with a few accents on Enter and Arrow keys.

Normally 1,000 but they reduced it to 500 for Adler, and they are also working on reducing their suppliers' MOQs. So hopefully that number can continue to decrease. I think it will - they are obviously interested in doing business with the enthusiast market (e.g., their upcoming keyboard and QMX clips). I think they will realize/are realizing that a limited palette of like 15-20 colors is old thinking, and that customers want more options.

jazz cup looks like hyperfuse and TA mated.

you did a slight color change on CCNG.

the jelly one is red alert/ cream cheese

arabian nights i guess is original..

Nah, jelly is famicon. It's been proposed several times, but never done.

I'd by Cream Cheese n Green on Grey but only if it used it used the stock GMK green. I need that lime in my life, probably the only set I'd spent money on at this point.

Solo cup and arabian nights have busy/clashing colors, and would be ugly in most contexts. The other two seem reasonable enough.

Like I said in the OP, it's hard to be original at this point. Same is true of Orange Crush, there is already the Cherry replica set.

For the Jelly one, it would be a velvet (red w/ shades of purple) and yellow/cream alphas (most CCNG is actually pure white) so I think it'd be different than Red Alert.

Very nice, I like the darker mods a lot. I did play around with RGBY as arrows, it looks a little off to me for some reason... did not try on WASD though. Looks better that way. I like.

^ Yes, this very much.

And in the spirit of that, I'd vote for the SNES, and with darker mods too, as suggested by sherbo. Not sure about the rgby, makes it borderline unicorn for me, but could be an addon.
Also, why is everyone still doing only WASD, I wanna see more QWER for us moba players, please. With an off-colour R of course

I like nubbinator's second one. My spin on it would be 3B for the mods, 3C for enter and esc. White legends, and maybe a custom light gray for the alphas. I like blue/teal sets personally, but it is really tough to be unique with blue now. I can't think of a set that uses colors like this at least.

Voted green cheese as I think the modifiers would go great with the Dolch alphas, SNES is also nice too, but if you're planning a new GB, please don't make it as bare as this one: https://www1.massdrop.com/buy/triumph-adler-gmk-keyset - additional modifiers and stuff is always nice to have

The solo cup one is the only one that grabs me.

Arabian Nights looks like a clusterfrak with those dark colours and yellow just does not go with those colours.

These are all still a little vanilla. Why not go insane, like... I dunno, this:

OK obviously nobody would ever use that, it was whipped up in a few minutes using Anna's coronation dress from Frozen as inspiration, but you get the idea. Light alphas dark mods zzz wake me up when we do something new. TA works because it's a gorgeous colour but after a while it's like... OK. Now what.
