Case made out of LEGO
« on: Mon, 28 January 2013, 09:42:28 »
Just wondering if anybody has ever built one? I think this would look very cool and is easy to make.

I mean something like this:

or

Good idea! I was going to do cardboard for my Phantom until I got acrylic cut, but Legos sound so much cooler!

Pick a brick Lego seems to ship from Poland, and takes a long time.

I saw pics of a case which someone made out of LEGO but then put plastic on, painted it and sanded until it was smooth. It ought to be easy to get the basic shape right in it. The problem is that you are sort of limited to even numbers of whatever unit LEGO come in.

I was talking about Lego PC cases when I made this thread, but poker cases work also!

This will result in lego photo's and ripster references.

Lego yes, lets leave Ripster out of this. I'll try to get some better photos tomorrow. Possibly work on version 2.0

Funny, I would have thought "Lego" was a permabanned word on GH.

I built this one for a case modding contest last december, but sadly I have already disassembled it.

Cable management was a success... :D

Oh no I didn't :D Maybe legos weren't what they wanted to see, probably because it was a case modding contest, not building.
Anyway it was quite fun to build a working computer case from legos  :p.
