Item is tested and found to be in working order.  Thoroughly cleaned.

:3

It's $CAD, which is to 73 cents US.  Blame the Canadian government.

$260 US shipped is still overpriced though.  An unrestored one shouldn't go for more than $125-150 shipped and restored (and depending on modifications) should be in the $200-250 range, the high end one that had been soarer's modded.

I'm interested to know what does it mean to be "restored" on this forum, in the interest of not misusing this word.  On my end it comes up to $150 USD shipped... or perhaps I chose an expensive shipping method?

It's $260 BIN shipped, $190 opening bid.

Restored means that the internals have been cleaned and, if necessary replaced, everything is fully reconditioned and cleaned, rust from the plate has been removed and the plate repainted (if needed) and so on.

Set the price whatever you want. If it doesn’t sell, lower the price a bit and try again.

Making a guess based on some subjective idea of what the price range “should” be is a fool’s errand.

US $144.54 doesn’t seem like an outrageous starting bid.

AT prices are all over the map:

plus several which were listed at ~$250 but sold via some “offer”, not sure what price.

Hmph.

I did certainly disassemble the whole thing down to each component (which I subsequently laundered and dried) to make the unit "thoroughly cleaned" as noted on the listing and replaced a defective key.  I didn't repaint the barrel plate, but it showed a few spots of corrosion; I might consider repainting it with rust-resistant paint if the current listing doesn't sell, though.

AT prices are all over the map:

My experience is that it has always been this way.
Sub-$100 listings are not rare but get snapped up instantly, and auctions usually end up in the mid-$100 range but often higher.

It is also my experience that "restoring" and "modifying" often add little or nothing to the final price, ridiculous but true.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Those are very fair and reasonable price points, it should sell to a Canadian.
If it were going the other way, I could not ship it to Canada for the US$36 it lists as shipping price to me.

Although the keys would cost you $10+ if this were ANSI converted it would probably sell quicker, and if you spent some time with the Dremel (a project that has been near the top of my list for quite a while) and did the "Alt" mod you might even decide to keep it.

Given my present house, I'm not in a position to keep more than a couple of keyboards at the same time, which is why I'm getting an XT (and selling the AT) after having bought a Unicomp and a Model M.
