Intro

We are excited to share our latest collaboration with Zero-G Studio in China. Together, we have their very first kit, the Z80, which we've affectionately named "Great Sword". Believe us, it wasn't an easy journey - the team had countless discussions, debates, and brainstorms that lasted for over 8 months! The team at Zero-G Studio worked tirelessly, constantly tweaking and perfecting every little detail to make sure it lived up to their motto of "All or Nothing". But finally, we are proud to present to you the magnificent "Great Sword" - a stunning board with an intricate design that looks amazing from every angle. We can't wait for you to get your hands on this beauty and experience like never before!

Improvements

▲ Updated Weight Design: We reprocessed the aluminum alloy bottom plate under the counterweight and added a slot for the second counterweight. And the LOGO at the bottom has been designed as through-weight,
so that users can see the overall look of the keyboard with the through-weight logo on the
bottom, to also let the original design concept be well retained.

▲ JST Slot: JST Cable Slot has been refactored to make JST cable arrangement easiler and more consistant

► PCB: The review units do not have VIA support right out of the box, but for GB units, customers will receive the PCB with VIA support on day one, and it will be automatically connected without
JSON file. There are also changes to the firmware of the PCB. The review unit PCB uses older firmware
and was not optimized yet. For the GB units, PCB will have the newest firmware.

► Frost Colorway Coating: The Frost Colorway will have a different coating than the review units. It will be Starry white powder coating instead of pure white.

PCB and Layouts

PCB has two options, both using QMK and VIA-compatible firmware written by Zero-G Studio:

└ Hotswap: ANSI layout, stepped caps support, 7u WK and WKL support
└ Soldered: ANSI and ISO layouts, stepped caps support, split left shift support, 7u WK and WKL support

Colorways

There will be two coating types offered:
└ Anodisation: with matching high gloss highlights
└ Coating: without matching highlights

▼ Ash (black anodised)

▼ Midnight (dark grey anodised)

▼ Excalibur (silver anodised)

▼ Scarlet (red anodised)

▼ Hubris (purple anodised)

▼ Frost (coating starry white)
