Title: I want one!

One of these in my MacBook would be great - 500 GB, 7200 rpm. And 1.5 TB for the desktop in a single bay. Wow.

I've got a 320GB in my macbook currently...and a 1TB drive in my VM server.  Looks like I am now inferior.  ;)

If I know you that'll all change as soon as they hit the market.

Sounds noisy, i like my computing systems nice and quiet, thank you very much, laptops should be seen not heard unless ur typing heavily onto it of course. I'm eyeing either a samsung 320gb or a 320gb western digital althought the 4200rpm fujitsu looks very interesting with its even more quiet+cooler drive. Remember faster drives are also hotter drives

I'm running a 5400 RPM drive in this iBook, and it's not any louder than a 4200 RPM drive.

And, 4200 RPM is DOG SLOW. So slow that any power savings are lost due to the system being running for longer to do a job.

Hotter, I will give you, though.
