Chrome.
I like the synchronizing, and minimalistic approach.
Used to run Firefox, but after all my add-ons became available for Chrome,
i ditched it completely, due to a lot of problem and that it felt slow

Used Firefox back before Chrome was released, then moved to that. Now I use nothing but that, I've got it installed on my phone as well, I love the fact I can open tabs up in my phone that I have open on my PC, it's brilliant for when you want to see if there's anything new while taking a ****!

Originally was a Firefox user way back when it was first released, but ever since discovering Opera in 2005 it has been my main browser  :D.

I have every browser installed on both OSX and Windows: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera. At times I may use another browser for this or that yet Opera has stayed my favourite as it's customizable to my taste in every way: from menu items, buttons, shortcuts, userscripts, the list goes on, and all without any additional addons.

Other features I love: the easy tab management is superb (tab stacking ftw), the ability to create custom search engines from any search box, the in-built RSS feed reader, the closed tabs menu, and the single-key shortcuts (1/2 to navigate tabs, z/x for Back/Forward).

Chromium at my workplace, and Chrome at home/my other workplace since Chromium on Windows won't play my MKV files (big question here is why I'm using Windows - I don't like it). I also use Opera, Safari, Firefox and IE8 since I work with web development, mainly frontend stuff.

I also occasionally use Firefox Nightly (version 20 or something?) when I need to watch Youtube, since Chrome + bad Internet connection + Youtube don't play very well for a number of reasons.

I transitioned to Chromium recently, because it is better at multitasking with multiple tabs/windows than Firefox.

There are a few bugs and quirks with it that irk me, though.. Auto-suggest use different keys than Firefox. Click in scrollbar sometimes scrolls two pages instead of one. Very slow when showing large images.

Firefox due to great security, add-ons, and privacy concerns. I'm a former Chrome user but switched due to Google's evergrowing privacy intrusions.

I tried using Chrome once. I installed a bunch of addons that were suggested in a thread somewhere. One of them opened me up to identity theft, though I'm not sure which it was. So I uninstalled it and went back to Firefox, which I've used for years. The only problem I have with it is if you have a small amount of memory, such as I do in my laptop, after awhile of running it bloats up insanely and slows everything down so it has to be restarted. I also have to use IE for certain things on my work laptop because of our intranet.

Private browsing doesn't work for you in FF?

I've recently gone back to using FireFox some years with chrome, and I must say I enjoy vertical tabs a lot. I only stuck with chrome for the "syncability" with my google account.

FF's private mode can't be run concurrently with non-private mode, last I checked, which makes it annoying enough not to use in my opinion.

Not in the same window using different tabs, but you can open a separate instance and run that in private, I believe.

That's true about the private mode. I didn't really think about that because it doesn't bother me. There is an addon to force Firefox to open a new instance in private mode via profiles, if I remember correctly.

and that's a problem because??
as a web developer/designer I am using all the major ones to check for compatibility of my code across all of them.
but seeing people like this gentlemen right here who refuses to upgrade from the abomination of a browser that is IE6 saddens me. there are so many new features and fixes
that come with the newer browsers. why are you limiting yourself and being stuck in the past? + you make the life of us web developers/designers much harder because we need to support you and others who doesn't want to upgrade for some silly reasons.
if you don't mind, do me and many other web developers/designers a favor and atleast install IE9 if not chrome/firefox.

Yep, but I still use it along with Chrome, IE, and even Lynx and Links2 on some Linux boxes. Midori is okay in a pinch. Surprised more Mac-sters don't like Safari.

It's probably because he is using older platforms on older hardware. If that's true then it's almost impossible to use newer browsers.

Use 1password! Syncs through dropbox, allows you to use your passwords in IE, FF, Chrome, and Safari, and can sync to iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.

Chrome across the board for me.  Never got on the FireFox bandwagon - it always chewed up too many system resources in my opinion, and the startup time (forget what version) was horrible.

I was on Opera before I made the switch to Chrome.  I still enjoy Opera - feel like it's an underrated browser.

I've used Firefox for the last 4-6 years but I finally got around to using Chrome and I have to admit I'm liking it much more.  The main thing I've got to point out is that it starts up a lot quicker than Firefox when I first boot up my PC.
