I'm definitely interested.

Whilst we're on the subject of vi/vim, I'd also like an option to have ADM-3A style arrow symbols of the hjkl keys.

Ironically, I don't normally use those keys for moving the cursor in vim. But I still think it's a cool way to pay homage to a long gone but highly influential era in computing history. It would also make the keyboard look a bit less Windowsey, which can only be a good thing.

I noticed the wiki has been updated with available colors for the Retro set. I wanted a dark blue like similar to the Led's on a Filco mx brown keyboard. In the picture added to the Retro set there's a lightblue BFQ but no other blue variation so I wonder which type of blue I will get if I simply write RETRO/XX/BLUE/BLACK in my order. If it's the lightblue I would have to change my order if it's a darker blue I would be fine.

Get the color sample ring and test yourself. I don't have a Filco keyboard.

• Crappy molding: Some (most) keys from R3 seem to be a bit tilted and are not perfectly parallel to the neighboring keys. OK, "perfect" may not be the ideal term, but when compared to any Cherry set (for instance), it sucks rotten donkey balls.

I just realized you may not have completely understood what I meant with how those keys are tilted...
It was not yet another way to emphasize on the steepness of row 4, but merely on how some (most) keys are tilted to the left.
In simple terms, the top left of the keys is... more to the left than the bottom left.
OK, that may not have been simpler, but I guess explaining this clearly is beyond the limits of my english...

• Quality-testing: Can we dream about SP sending you (7bit, most likely) samples, in order to rule-out their crappy work ? That means checking on wrong accents, badly-sized characters, and other oddities they may produce out of thin air (since the references sent to them seemed quite ok) ?

I'm not sure if they have layout samples for what they will produce, but at least we will not wait for months until somone with a camera received his keys to see if they where OK. Next time, a quality check must be done before shipping starts.

Most modifiers exist for row 3:
1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 (full touch), 2 units.
The 1.75 units stepped key and 2.25 units shift left and return are is only available in matte finish.

For Tipro keyboards, all keys are available:
1 unit and 1.5 units are available in all 4 rows, 2 units keys are availbale in row 2 to 4 and even the 4 units spacebar would fit the Tipro perfectly!

For the standard keyboard (Filco/Ducky etc.), if we go for semi-matte finish, all row 3, we would need tools for the following keys made:
2.25 units in semi-matte (available in matte)
2.75 units in semi-matte (2.5 units available in semi-matte)
6.25 units space bar

Cherry G80-3000:
1.75 stepped in semi-matte (available in matte)
7 units  space bar (for 101/102 key keyboards)

So only modifiers exist for row 3 ?
I suppose there won't be any possibility of having row 4 of standard keys (alphabetical) as row 3 as well, moreso for... let's say, french set ^^

Will it be available for round 4 (with correct number of bars: 5 or 6, and colors that fit at least the default ones) ?


On another note, I'm still puzzled at your retro layout sample...
It has (full) text for insert/home/delete/end/pageup/pagedown, instead of symbols, or at least abbreviated text (for insert/delete).
The keypad numbers are also missing the added symbols.
I'm worried about print screen/scroll lock/pause as well.
