First tranche of the payment made. Of course, sensitive details are omitted.**

Some updates: Production will start soon, ordering of raw materials done at the moment.
Actual milling will kick off around 20 Feb - Post CNY (my conservative estimate). We will still be able to get the board around end Apr/mid May per my initial time assessment.

There will be an update drought for now. I will be away from 16 - end Jan in Japan and also no major production taking place in lieu of the coming Chinese New Year.

Quick update: as mentioned, partial payment has been made. Now it is Chinese New Year so things are very quiet at the moment. Expected them to be back mid February and manufacturing will kick off.

44 of them for my first international buy, not sure about China side, didn't interfere their process haha.

Meanwhile, no significant updates from me this week. I will provide manufacturing pictures immediately once I have the opportunity.

I just have to say that you're doing a great job with this buy. I think the constant communication gives people peace of mind, as well as the confidence that you're competently handling everything. Even the updates that simply say "no significant update" are something that I've found a lot of buys lack, but is incredibly soothing from a buyers perspective. Especially when it's something us buyers are super hyped about.

Would really suggest to read and watch soldering101 videos and DIY. Get a good soldering iron with brass wool, practice basic common sense, you will be good to go. Part of the custom keyboard fun is to actually build it yourself.

For anyone who is scared to do soldering, I highly recommend getting mill-max hotswap sockets. You can pop them into your pcb and turn your board into a hot-swappable one.

Also thanks for the encouraging words, I have been in communication with Eve and everything seems to be in schedule. Not trying to count chicks before they hatch, should there be any known issues or delay, I will inform here.

Let us just resolve any issues amicably (if any). Like you guys, I can't wait to caress my board as well.

That's not what they are suggesting. You can buy and install Mill-max sockets in a regular PCB. They function like Holtites, but are less annoying to work with.

The brass tide pods are ready. Waiting for updates on the Ti ones.

Almost all of the GB payments are made except for shipping which will be collected later. I also withheld 730 USD as a buffer for any exigencies and will remit it after all boards are good and shipped later.
