Ok, here's low down.

I tested their prices with just a normal ansi, 60% layout and it's not as cheap as I thought I remembered it was. :-[  1.5mm SS plates would be like $42 before shipping for a quantity of 10-49 and about $38 for a quantity of 50 or more.
Also for those of you asking for brass, I didn't see anywhere that BBS offers a brass material.

There is also lasergist who might be able to give a better price on quantity items like this, but we would have to contact them. If we do explore this route, I think it would be best to approach them with a final version of the plate we are going to use.

Sorry for the false hype, I thought I remembered their prices differently :(

$38 is basically sentraq price anyway, not actually that bad.

Yeah it's just not as low as I thought it would be. Lasergist might be even lower though.

Still wondering what the mystery 5th color will be! It could be anything!

And if the Apple Anode factory will still be used.  :'(

I'm not sure if it's definite. He recently said if not, it would be cheaper.

Edit: Revo, will there be a group buy for the aluminum wrist rests too?  ;)

It is definite.Apple anode and $350+shipping+pp fee.I know it's expensive but that's what you paid for better stuff. Alu wrist will be wait for sometime. I can only do one GB at a time.Only me dealing stuff aboard. So after this GB i will open another IC. Just wait and see what's in it.

just want to do a little research. This selling at 350 kit+ 50(shipping)+ 20 pp fee. one set could cost $420. How many people willing to buy? One of my dear friend tell me i could sell many sets, still i need to plan for factory. Don't want to be delay again. I am currently planning 50 sets (MOQ is 50 for this)doing in 2 months.
one more thing, i will throw in one set screw-in stabs if this hit 100 kit. I can give more gift if this sells good.

First reaction I'm totally in, but that price is bordering on hard to reach. That's about 80-100 bucks more than I wanted to pay but it is so damn lovely!  Gonna have to sell a ton of stuff to make that work.

Got any plans for a plate to go along with the case?

I want to get shipping down as well. But last time i charge $35 for shipping and i lost tons of money. This kit weight over 4kg after packing. Keyboard is not that heavy but packing is very heavy. This way we can make sure everyone can get their keyboard safe. From my point of view, the most important thing of shipping is safe. You don't want any damage caused by shipping or lost by shipping company. I think it's worth it.

Like i said before,2 plate in this kit. One alu and one PC plate.

I know it's expensive, but I think it's worth it. Otherwise i will do it using normal anode.

I'm completely tickled by the way the Dr. D project turned out- it's stunning. Then I took iPhone out of case to see the Apple anodization... and yup! Going to be a little spendy, but very willing to wager it will be worth it!  :thumb:

Thanks my man! but if you want to see what it is like you should try Macbook. technically it's a factory doing Macbook. Iphone is much better. Even though i know where iphone anode factory is,there will never be a chance to use that factory. They do need a huge moq.

Do we get the same usb cable as in Revo&Dr.D?
unfortunately not, that won't work with 60. It works better with 80% or more.If you are thinking about cable,i can get some braided cable with a reasonable price. You may see it on Massdrop.

https://www.massdrop.com/buy/braided-nylon-usb-cable This is made by a friend of mine. I think we can get a cheaper price for this.

I didn't take new pictures. The diffuser won't change any design. So what i have change from day 1 is i have make some hole(1mm) for round rubber mat in the bottom. It's so hard to notice. Oh, i have put a GH inside of the top case.

Sounds good - they look great as of now. You mean you've carved a GH wording inside the top case? That's so cool! Also I'm just wondering how's the anodizing quality compared to on of the Duck Viper cases - trying to get a feel of the anodizing quality! My Macbook 2016's anodizing is so smooth compared to that, so if it's like that it would be great! Can't wait to see one of the black cases!

I am just being honest. I don't want to upset someone with OCD. But i can safely say this:it will be much better than Dr.D. Especially much smoother.

Awesome!! And as someone with a Dr. D waiting to be built (couple of crappy iPhone pics in case anyone considering this HHKB board is interested in anodization quality on that one: http://imgur.com/a/lkaen), if the HHKB exceeds this quality, it will be one smoking hot keyboard!

Sounds good - they look great as of now. You mean you've carved a GH wording inside the top case? That's so cool!

Right. Carved a GH inside. It means this version is for GH only. I will just do this kit once,so i want it to have something special.

It is anodized in the same factory as Macbooks, but is the process and quality control the same as well? I'm assuming Apple uses a custom process. Knowing it was made in the same factory as Apple doesn't justify the price to me unless it is guaranteed to use the same process and quality. Any info there would be helpful.
How does one become so interested in a thing like keyboards? When you realize you use a keyboard more than any other tool in your life.

Okie, sounds good. I'm reading through the thread at https://bbs.wstx.com/thread-699962-1-1.html and the quality seems amazing! The boxes towards the end looks great too!

As long as I can get a steel plate I'm in ( I realize this would be a separate group buy with added cost).

This is turning out to be a bit pricier than I had hoped, but I am still definitely very excited for it. I am down for 1 silver and one black at least. I might end up getting another black as well. RIP my wallet haha

Who is this guy? :P ;)

just want to do a little research.
:D :D :D

I'm in.  I need an HHKB layout in my life again.
