No sarcasm, I got my numbers from a quick Froogle search and they come out WAY higher (over a $1100 for the 30" on most sites), so even better that you got a good deal on them.

yeah older models go cheap, but you sacrifice on response times and a lack of inputs (im running through 3 cables/converters), i also have the 2 unnoticable dead pixels which knocked off 15%
2007fp are just a matter of looking and finding them cheap, also you have to make sure they are the IPS version (L at end of serial)

anywho, i guess ive just been on the internet too long, sorry on the sarcasm comment :)

Nice setup. I've always wanted to try that out.

I used to have a bigass red desk from ikea, but I moved into a smaller room :(
I have the Mount it! 2-arm monitor desk mount from amazon. Works pretty good for new lighter monitors.

ty, yours looks nice especially for such a small space!

new desk new monitors new **** new pictures...finally think im in monitor nirvana...till 4k comes out affordably
That's a really nice setup! o:

Since I'm thinking of getting the new U3014 sometime later this year (I really miss my U3011), I'll have to imitate you and try to find a couple of 20" Dell monitors too. :> Too bad they aren't produced anymore.

That is by far the best monitor setup I've seen... perfect for your peripheral view in gaming.  I've been wanting the same setup forever.

I'd be nervous about having the monitors so close to the edge!

Very nice setup though

hahaha I fully expected all of the comments about the precariousness of my set up. Yes i am in a dorm room and this is the best that I can do. Its been like this for a couple of months now with no issues, or even any close calls. Next year I will be moving into an apartment with room for my full size desk which could easily fit all three monitors and the tv side by side.

My 15" CRT bounced glass first off my dorm room floor (linoleum over concrete, superb echo chamber) and survived without a scratch.  I think that's the only positive thing I had to say about that monitor.

Yeah, I might want to buy that keyboard on the left there, depending on what it is.  Also, I might be interested in the contents of that prescription bottle, depending on what's in there.  If it's Dilaudid, PM me, if it's amoxicillin, um, you better keep it for yourself.  :p

Lol - it's this http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=41300.0 but not for sale I'm afraid! (even if it was the shipping to the US would be extortionate!)  If by prescription bottle you mean the orange topped bottle near the left-hand speaker, I'm sorry to disappoint but they're just glucose tablets!

I rearranged my living room / office a little to make some space for PS3 and TV (Samsung 50", nothing spectacular - it's only used for gaming and watching blu-rays).
Audio system still the same - Onkyo A-5VL + Onkyo DS-A5 iPod dock / Air Play receiver, Focal 807V speakers (they really kick ass)
Computers changed - Mac Pro 2009 got replaced with new Mac Mini (2.6 Quad Ivy Bridge + 16 GB RAM + 2x Intel 520 240GB internally) so I don't need a laptop when I need to work from office (mini is lighter and easier to move around, and I used external monitor, keyboard and mouse anyways),
the iBook on a desk is 2001 G3 600 running OS 9 which I use to transfer stuff to and from Macintosh Classic (the 1990 model), that's what this USB floppy (Imation SuperDisk) is being used.
Amiga under the desk is still the same - A500T with 68060/50 MHz, 129 MB RAM (1 MB Chip + 128 MB Fast), 4 GB SCSI HDD, Picasso IV, Deneb USB 2.0 with USB ethernet and audio.
Both computers connected to Dell U3011 (it's getting old now, but I can't find any other monitor I could upgrade to - waiting for HiDPI 22" ;)), HHKB Pro 2 and either DeathAdder Black or Logitech M570 or Kensington Expert Mouse depending on mood.
The thing on a side is not a guitar, it's actually fretless acoustic bass ;)

This is my desktop at the office its most important item is my launch  :) , it might be just plain, but it is very efficient, I can use the Poker and my mouse to control the dell in the back with Mouse without borders.16011-0

Amiga under the desk is still the same - A500T with 68060/50 MHz, 129 MB RAM (1 MB Chip + 128 MB Fast), 4 GB SCSI HDD, Picasso IV, Deneb USB 2.0 with USB ethernet and audio.

An Amiga with those specs. and only 1MB chip? What a shame. ;)

Dude, this is awesome! I wish my place looked like that :(
