At this point I just end up wasting $10 on buying a month of subscription, playing it for a week and just stop playing it again.

My old account is terrible because I sucked at the game so much when I played, all I did was woodcut for hours on end.  :p

I think someone I knew ended up botting on my account and ended up getting it's stats downgraded.

I remember I had almost 99 woodcutting, it would have been my first 99.  :'(

Bump for justice

Justice was killed by MTX.

Jagex & this chinese holding company have run the game into the ground.

I used to enjoy coming back to the game once or twice a month to run a quest and putz around a little but this might be the year I stop buying gold prem. Even though all my gp is from bots I used to write and is essentially worthless as I'd rather not risk an RMT ban and have nothing else to spend GP on, I don't even want to support their player count stats.

God I completely forgot about this until I started playing again last year. The pains in the wrist are REAL.

I forgot how obsessed I used to be. I actually got into a fight with someone in middle school who scammed me. Was playing on and off, but quit for good after they changed the combat system.

Anyone here actually play now?

Some weeks I play a bit, and others I just log in to check stuff.  Just depends on how busy I am and if I have anything else that I'd rather do.

I did just unlock my first skilling pet (divination) when playing on Tuesday though.  So I was pretty happy about that.

Was Challenger S3/S4 on league and Top 50 SC2 forever.

Runescapes the only game that needs me to grind for 500 hours  >:D

For some reason keeps my mind occupied

That said I'm like maxed out on a 45 defence account.. so I do have problems I admit

Oh damn I forgot about this, I should be coming close to mine soon.

My only problem with RS is developing RSI. I actually started developing it last time I got back into RS.

They should rename it Runescape Injury tbh...

Getting closer. Banked 57 Herblore and should have it tomorrow in an hour, then I'll move onto 42 Slayer so I can complete the majority of the first half of quests I have left remaining (apart from King's Ransom because 65 Defence??). That'd put me at 209QP, 42QP or 17 quests away from the cape.

I'll have it one day :(

Racking up my bonus XP to get 99 construction soon. Making money for it by fishing rocktails and doing slayer. I keep getting ****ing Kalphites as a slayer task though which is a bit **** and the drops suck, but i'm only lv 65 slayer at the moment.

Kalphites are great XP, I forget what they're called but there's the one hive in the southern part of the desert. Get to the round side room on a crowded world and once you clear it they respawn right as you kill one. I used to kill several hundred an hour for their charm drops + mage XP. Not that great of money though, you're right. But you can nuke a task in like 10 minutes incl travel.

RS was great for a little but I find that Path of Exile is a much better replacement for me. The depth of gear and variations of builds are incredible - I hated that RS was just "buy the most expensive item you can afford" with no actual thought going into it. PoE has hundreds of viable builds and dozens of super popular builds, or you can play totally solo/self taught and still be just fine.

Also, the PoE devs are incredible, while RS is getting more and more meh (especially with RS's pay to win).

Yeah, I've had the task twice and I just sit in the north corner where one soldier and a few workers spawn and you can tank the worker and kill the soldier for extra slayer xp. It's just when you get like 160 of the ****s its a bit of a pain, then get a task of dust devils then another 170 kalphites to kill  >:D

I will say that there are so many ****ing bits and add ons now that i'm losing track of all the boosts and things you can get and most people walk round with things I've never seen before.

That really sucks man, I don't know how the hell they'd give in through 2 factor authentication, that's really odd.

I was playing RS3.

I know how they did it, I actually logged in to a page to comment on the forums and was instead logging into my account behind a fake screen. So basically i logged into my account for them.

Although when i tried to log back in it wouldn't let me which I think is a security flaw. If Someone else is logged into my account I would like to be able to log them out by logging myself in.

This might mean I start playing OSRS from the very beginning hah.

Start an ironman on osrs, we can be ironman buddies. I'm thinking of returning to my Hardcore ironman on OSRS anyways, I almost got all the stuff needed to complete recipe for disaster, just need a few hard quests left.

I'm also playing my old account on rs3 at the moment.

might take a break from RS3 and go back to OSRS myself, it's been a while since I played it...

I never did like that game, even though I played it for years and years. It was way too easy to get addicted and stay addicted. I eventually finally quit for good 3-4 years ago, mostly over how easy they were making every single skill, and and that level 120 nonsense. OSRS tempts me from time to time, but I don't want to start over, especially given how I did a huge chunk of my leveling when it was still that difficult.

Runescape is still the most addicted I have ever been to, well, anything.  I sat on my computer for literally an entire spring break, to the extent that I lost 20 lbs from reduced food intake (I played much longer, this was just tipping point).  Not that I'm proud of it, but I have such a nostalgia hook on this game now that some time has passed.  I really want to give it another go, using my newfound Adult WisdomTM to help avoid issues.

But I digress; I'm curious about this nerfing you mention - when did that take place, and was it all in the confines of the "OSRS" system?  Obviously at the time it wasn't called that.  I remember hearing that the newer version was kind of crappy, but am really hoping they didn't also sort of cripple OSRS when they brought it back.

I didn't say anything specifically about OSRS, just how the game developed in general. XP per hour rates kept skyrocketing with successive updates. There were skills where you might end up with 4x the xp rates of what they used to be, maybe more in some others. It feels pretty terrible when you're sitting there with 99s in previously very slow skills, and all of a sudden, that skill becomes a cakewalk.

My only major problem with OSRS (to my knowledge anyway) is that I would have to start from square one, so I never have.
