I think Lin and his team has already explained how the form timestamp was recorded: you edit then you get a new timestamp. I'm in the original 60 spot and my time was 1:08.
I also edited my form. But here's the catch, I did it after Lin updated the OP and said that participants could now edit. So I really don't understand the rush to edit the form right after filling it the first time. Perhaps there's something fishy about this impatience and not how the form works. :dafoe:
Because some people fill out a gb form with garbage to quickly get a slot. They then update to put down correct information (address, etc.).
Maybe stop doing that.
totally agree。
we call these people cattle in China, who ruins the communify by selling their slots
GB organizers limit their product and play form filling race games. Slot buyers spend the $$ to buy the slot... but yes, its the resellers 'ruining the community' lol
People who buy slots just to sell at a profit are like ticket scalps outside concerts. They’re the only ones who are being ****s here. Can’t do much about that though.
Why treat the cause when you can just moan about the symptom, amarite?
What would you have gb runners do? Increasing the number of orders will inevitably increase lead time or decrease quality, or both.

I've never gotten involved in the resell game, nor do I think reselling is bad, so I don't think runners need to do anything. If these runners/designers want to one-man-job the whole thing, which I'm assuming has everything to do with either maximizing profits or keeping the exclusivity hype or both, and therefore limit sale numbers because of it, by all means do so. ****, even if it's some pride thing that you can do everything by yourself with no help, go for it. But that's the stem of the "issue" of reselling, for those that think reselling is so damn criminal. That and the people willing to drop 2x+ the price. If you want to kill reselling, make everything widely available and/or don't buy @ resell prices. Screeching at people selling spots does nothing lol

I get that re-selling for 2-3x price is outrageous but its the nature of a hobby like this. Go ahead cry about it, it's your right.
You can argue that the same thing affects other hobbies as well. Mice, Sneakers, Stamps..etc
Only way to kill reselling is to convince the entire community to sell at a decent price or make it widely available, only the latter is plausible to a degree.
Hell, even group buy runners themselves sell their own product for twice the cost of group buys sometimes, I know Matrix was selling his 2.0 for a while on mm at above 1k prices.
If any item has "collectors value" on it, there will be a variable on the actual price sold.
